Is the shelf removable in the open area?

A: Hello thank you for your question.  The shelf is removable and it also has three different height placements.

What type of wood is it? Solid wood? MDF with a veneer?

A: Hello thank you for your question.  The dresser is made of solid pine wood.  The back panel and the drawer bottoms is composed of mdf.

The color on the website looks more cream/offwhite than white. Which is it in person?

A: Hello thank you for your question.  This is more of an off-white finish than white.
