Our experience started with designing and building custom vacation homes on Donner Summit, near Truckee, California in 1982.  In 2000 we moved the base of our business to beautiful Plumas County and also continue to work in the Truckee area.

We work closely with homeowners and architects throughout the planning, permitting and construction of the perfect new home or remodel of an existing home. At Williams Construction we can also work to design your project with you. We feel that the trust our clients have in us is just as important as the materials it takes to build it. Innovative technologies, green building experience, a reputation for creative problem solving and building difficult projects have kept us at the forefront of the custom building industry.

In addition to building high end quality homes, we also have significant experience in remodeling and specialized commercial projects. We have worked in the construction of restaurants, bars, lodges, tram buildings, bridges, recreation centers and more in and around Truckee and Plumas County. From a country club to a bridge design each project requires an attention to excellence and skilled craftsmanship that’s apparent in our work.

> During our extensive mountain project, which ultimately ended up being featured in MOUNTAIN LIVING Magazine, we referred to Matt Williams (and his team) as the WATCH MAKER.  His attention to detail, utilizing construction materials, many of them re-purposed (and highly irregular in specification) brought together 300 year old granite flooring from
> China, old beams from Canada, reclaimed teak flooring from Indonesia, carvings from around the world, German windows, and moulding/millwork/carved doors and built in furniture from various off shore sources. Matt's work and product knowledge were superior to any we have seen in our area, and we will most certainly use him in the upcoming "next Phases" of our project.
