In this project, we successfully -- and within budget -- converted a split level basement from a badly dated rec room, laundry and 2 car garage to a 1 bedroom ADU in one third, and an office, family room, and playroom in the other two thirds. It involved a full basement demo (including 2 floor chimney), reframing, re-wiring and new trenching/plumbing for 2 new bathrooms and a kitchen.
