Instead of imposing a generic design, she paid meticulous attention to the period details of the house, seamlessly incorporating elements that complemented its original charm. We initially wanted just a screened-in porch, but she encouraged us to think about getting more use of our porch, as we live in Minnesota and warm weather is fleeting. She came up with a design that incorporated combination windows that we could remove and still experience the screen porch in the summer, but get more use out of the room in cooler weather. > I have worked with Chris for a very long time. She is not only a good (next door) neighbor, but a good friend and a very reliable associate. She initially worked with a highly reputable architect locally, then worked out of New York and eventually wanted to work closer to home again and is now on her own. She did work for me often times in her spare time and over time it became clear to me how industrious she is. The jobs WE worked on together have covered the full spectrum of residential remodeling projects, like kitchens, bathrooms, mudrooms, additions, etc. but she also has done work for other people on commercial projects as well. She is really easy to work with and always offers multiple ideas making it seem easy to create a plan together when I know that what she is doing behind the scenes is often time really complicated. Not only have I worked with Chris on probably about 15-20 major projects but my wife and I have also used her to do design work on our own house on multiple occasions as well. The most recent project we worked on was a new main half bath tucked into a space where a closet used to be. She also included design of some cabinetry in a mudroom adjacent to the new bathroom. That job was finished last month. Kudos Chris!!

> We owned a 1912 2 story Craftsman with a disaster of a basement. It was damp with low-hanging heating pipes and wiring. The plumbing was a mess...but it did have a functioning Pittsburgh Potty amidst the laundry setup.

> This is our second time using CB architecture + design, which says a lot! The first time was a full house gut/remodel where we wanted to keep some of its centuries old charm, but update it for modern living. This included turning an attic into a primary suite with 2nd laundry and amazing walk-in shower! Her amazing idea to take out an unused back staircase and make use of the space for a walk in pantry in our smaller kitchen was a dream solution that I never would have thought of.
> This time, in a much smaller house, I needed to utilize every square inch of my unfinished basement to gain a second living area, new bathroom, game room and expanded laundry for growing teens (and me). Christina’s eye for problem solving is almost magical. She can make the most mundane space pop with her eye for style and deep architectural background.
