## Community Q&A

**Q: What's on the edges of the porcelain slab?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Is the porcelain slab fireplace extend out from the wall by a couple of inches with additional porcelain on the sides? Or, something else? Thanks.

A: Hi,
This is a thin porcelain slab installed on the face of the wall.
There is a Schluter profile edge to finish the slab since the wall is not built out with a return. You can always build out the wall and have the slab as a return. It all depends on the length of the slab if you only want to use one slab. Plus you need to consider the floor space it may take up if you have a smaller room.
