$275 - $3000

Costs vary per need. A staging consult is $275. The average cost to stage a home can run from $600-$3000. Interior Design is truly dependent on square footage, furnishings needed, structural changes and contractor management just to name a few. I must meet with clients and see their homes before estimating costs.

### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Lucille Emerson, Nov. 2018**

> I contacted Robin based on a recommendation from a friend who has worked with Robin for many years on numerous projects in her homes. My main purpose in contacting Robin was because I was in need of window treatments for a new home for which there were no window treatments in place at all. During the initial consultation we also discussed the purchase of living room furniture and replacing two chandeliers. I found Robin to be very professional, knowledgeable, patient, and very nice to work with. She made suggestions, discussed pros and cons, but allowed us to make the final decisions. She encouraged us to step out of our comfort zone when selecting furniture upholstery and we are very pleased with the result. When there are numerous projects involved, clear priorities need to be established and followed. I would highly recommend Robin for any type of home improvement/decor projects.

**Comment from HomeScape Stagers:**

> Thank you Lucille! I look forward to seeing all in place! Please keep in touch and let me know if there is anything else I can do to help you make your new home all that you want it to be.

**★★★★★ — Eileen Slagis, Jan. 2018**

> Robin helped me when I was downsizing from 4000 sq.ft. to 1/4 of that space. Most of my furniture was waaay to big, other pieces dated, and I was living in a cluttered, used furniture store.
> She helped me curate the best stuff, create storage space where there was none, find inexpensive solutions for problem spaces, and lighting issues and made it fun in the process.
> Her fees are more than reasonable; her ideas creative and all in all she is a pleasure to work with.

**Comment from HomeScape Stagers:**

> It is such a pleasure to work with you Eileen. You have such a great attitude and outlook. You have made my job quite easy.

**★★★★★ — Ken Wiggall, Jan. 2018**

**Comment from HomeScape Stagers:**

> Ken, it was a pleasure working with you. Your home had great bones! Updating the kitchen island, countertops and light fixtures and painting throughout made it a show stopper! So happy for you it sold so quickly. Wishing you all the best in 2018!

**★★★★★ — Cynthia Glendening, Nov. 2017**

> Robin was a delight to work with. She listened to what I wanted and what I envisioned then came up with terrific suggestions and solutions. She was also very respectful of time and budget. After the project was over she followed up with me to see if I had any questions or concerns which was brilliant. I definitely will use HomeScape Stagers again.

**Comment from HomeScape Stagers:**

> I hired Robin to help me stage a home for sale. I lived in the home for almost 25 years, so you can imagine the house had a lot of stuff in it. Robin's role was to help me figure out what to do to make the house attractive to buyers. This included getting rid of things, deciding what to leave, painting only what needed to be painted and staging the outside of the house too. Robin made excellent suggestions in terms of how to thin the junk pile, how to rearrange furniture, which paint colors to use, what bedding and bathroom accessories needed to be updated, what indoor and outdoor repairs were necessary and she recommended professionals to do the work. All suggestions were excellent and helped us sell our house in a few weeks at very close to our aggressive asking price. I am certain this would not have been the outcome without Robin's advice. After that excellent experience we used Robin's services again on the house we purchased and were renovating. Robin helped us with every decorating decision - wooden floors, tile, granite, lighting and many other things I'm sure I'm forgetting. Robin also helped us work out a lot of issues we had in redesinging the floorplan of our renovated house. It was a very difficult process and Robin was helpful, full of ideas and very patient with people who never did this sort of thing before and don't have a natural ability in such matters.
> Robin's help was critical in our getting both of these projects done in short order and with great results. Her prices were excellent, especially given the outstanding services she provided and her level of expertise.
> You should hire Robin and HomeScape Stagers.

**Comment from HomeScape Stagers:**

> Wow! I think I may be blushing! Thanks for that wonderful review Leslie. It has been a pleasure working with you and your family. The old house was lovely, but the new one will be stunning! Now that the ground work/base layer has been completed (well almost) . Soon we will have a place for everything and everything in its place! Best wishes to all and thank you.

> We hired HomeScape Stagers to help us determine the most efficient layout for our planned finished basement as well as help us interview potential contractors. Robin provided us with a great layout - something that we couldn't have envisioned on our own! She also gave us great creative design tips and recommedations on materials. We highly recommend Robin at HomeScape Stagers for design consultation - she has a great eye for layout and was extremely helpful in helping us choose the contractor.

**Comment from HomeScape Stagers:**

> It was a pleasure Beth. Sometimes you just need help getting started. That's what consults are all about! I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product!

> Robin is a true professional and she is so easy to work with. Robin listens to our needs and ideas. She took everything into consideration to put something together just for our taste and budget for our bedroom re-do. My husband and I lack all artistic/design talent, so we relied on Robin and we are totally happy. We are now in the process of redoing our family room. We highly recommend Robin.

**Comment from HomeScape Stagers:**

> I find that most clients "think" they don't have design capabilities\> It just takes good listening skills on my part and yes, knowing how to bring it all together. If you know what you like and what you don't, if you favor one color over another - we have a place to begin. I help you to create a home that reflects your lifestyle and personality with a few accessories thrown in for good measure. This living room is going to be awesome!

**★★★★★ — Richard Roth, Aug. 2016**

> Homescape Stagers provided a comprehensive service to ready my mom's home for sale after the death of my father. It was THE most difficult time of my life and I simply would not have gotten through it without this help. By comprehensive I mean: coordinating the clearing out of 46 years worth of belongings from attic to basement separating by trash, goodwil, habitat for humanity, keep and/or sell through a variety of consignment shops that continued to generate cash long after the project .(This more than paid for any costs associated with Stager's cost because a diamond ring was found and promptly given to me, in a drawer in a stocking that my mom forgot about. I probably would not have been that thorough and would have discarded the stocking!) Also a complete updating of the landscaping was designed and accomplished to attract the modern buyer. Next contractors were acquired and supervised by HomeScape Stagers following Robin's interior color and updating recommendations. Then a host of details were covered to make the house ready to show and it was sold to a neighbors daughter who witnessed the awesome beehive of activity and resultant transformation that took place. "Stagers" is not a good definition for the start to finish services that are offered. I highly recommend Robin McGlinchey and her Homescape Stagers to tackle any or all of your needs!

**Comment from HomeScape Stagers:**

> Richard, It was a pleasure to help you and your family. Everyone worked together to make things happen in a timely fashion and that is half the battle. Selling on consignment, finding that engagement/anniversary ring and just knowing I was able to ease some of the worry that comes with settling and selling your parents' estate made it all worthwhile. Thank you. I wish you well.

**★★★★★ — richhouse1, Aug. 2016**

> We recently sold a our house. We priced the house at the very top of its price limit & asked Robin to stage it. It sold in less than 6 weeks for 98% of the asking price. We were so pleased with the advise and changes Robin suggested that we asked her to work on the renovations of our new home -- gutting a kitchen, 3 bathrooms & a new master bedroom Robin's insight and input has been invaluable, her taste impeccable, and her eye for color amazing. Our new home is beautiful thanks to Robin's input.

**Comment from HomeScape Stagers:**

> Thank you Rich Family! You were good sports with my Staging suggestions - even when I moved the furnishings from their usual positions! I've had so much fun guiding you through decisions in the new house! It is beautiful!I wish you many happy and healthy years there.

**★★★★★ — scarey4, Aug. 2016**

> We hired HomeScape Stagers to help us finish our dining room, kitchen and living room. We had started and stalled and needed help with bringing it all together and making it flow. Robin has great ideas and is very collaborative. She created a Pinterest board for us to share ideas to understand our vision and help us put it into reality. Also, she had DIY ideas that helped keep cost down. We would highly recommend HomeScape Stages.

**Comment from HomeScape Stagers:**

> Always great to find clients who can cut cost by doing a little work themselves. It makes the end result all the more satisfying! Looking forward to seeing everything in its completion this fall! Thanks Carey Family!

**★★★★★ — Kendra Muscella, Aug. 2016**

> I have had the great fortune of knowing Robin for 19+ years. I know her personally and professionally. Robin has the ability to see the big picture, the application of her vision and the impact on the overall project. She invests in her projects no matter the size. It goes without saying that she possesses creative vision. She is dedicated, resourceful, and committed to helping her clients bring soul and a sense of home to their house. Robin is truly a joy to work with, she keeps all the plates spinning in the air.

**Comment from HomeScape Stagers:**

> Thanks so much Kendra! You know I miss working with you!

## Community Q&A

**Q: Countertops** *(in Photo Questions)*

What are the countertops?

A: Countertops are quartz

**Q: What color palettes goes well with white oak floors and white walls?** *(in Paint)*

We have white oak throughout the house. I am going to painting all walls and doors some form of white and getting rid of furniture and rugs, starting with a clean slate.

I REALLY wanted greys to be a main color for the furniture and other interior desgin elements.
Does white oak and grey work??? Anyone have some nice palettes to suggest?

A: Deborah - grays with a green undertone. I just recommended this to one other person, but it bears repeating because they are so nice for kitchens. See Benjamin Moore's Nantucket Gray with green undertones or Benjamin Moore's Thunder for a nice warm gray. You would have to paint a sample on all 4 walls to see what it does in the varied light.
In this photo I used it at 50%. The yellow maple of the cabinets and the lighting of this particular house make it look more Sage like.

this photo is Benajmin Moore Thunder @ 50%

**Q: Wall color for open concept** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We just created an open concept kitchen, living & dining room. We would like one wall color. Our kitchen will be the Ikea grimslov cabinets, we will have Calcutta quartz in the kitchen, and walnut stained oak flooring. Our dilemma is that where the kitchen will be located, that is NW facing, and the living room is SE facing. For reference, this picture was taken at 5pm on a sunny day. We also have lots of greenery outside, which I have heard can affect the spectrum of color. We like neutrals, but I don't like anything TOO beige, or gray. The previous color was beige and it felt dark.

A: I'm thinking Benjamin Moore Nantucket Gray @ 50%. It has a hint of sage green to it. Love it in Kitchens. You must put samples of paint on the walls. Especially since the light is so different. Here is a home I used it in with open concept and varied lighting on Houzz. Note the yellow maple cabinet makes it look even more green. It will look different in your own house. Try a sample. \[https://www.houzz.com/photos/hadleigh-update-stage-to-sell-traditional-kitchen-philadelphia-phvw-vp~89668559\[(https://www.houzz.com/photos/hadleigh-update-stage-to-sell-traditional-kitchen-philadelphia-phvw-vp~89668559)

**Q: Which color dining table for this space** *(in Furniture)*

We dont have a formal dining room, we have an open space for dining table and kitchen. I’ve attached pictures below. Our Current dining table is counter high. We want to replace it with a standard dining table so it’ll be shorter than the island. Please share your thoughts on what would fit in this space. Thank you.

Here’s our options.

Option 1 - Would a dark table, walnut color match this space with green chairs to match the island chairs.

Option 2- same dark table with beige chairs

Option 3 - I feel this is the closest matches for the cabinets

This the wine cabinet I would like under the window. And this is a perfect matche to the walnut color table.

Here‘s the current setup.

A: the walnut is lovely and will be a good match to all that you already have. I would agree with so many above in that I would not make it matchy-matchy with the chairs. All green will be too much. May I suggest a wishbone chair? this is a nice one below. Never mind their beach style reference. \[https://www.houzz.com/products/wishbone-y-chair-walnut-natural-cord-prvw-vr~119479754\[(https://www.houzz.com/products/wishbone-y-chair-walnut-natural-cord-prvw-vr~119479754)

**Q: Really like this sofa and love seat? Anybody know the name and brand?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The client had the sofa and loveseat already. They may have come from Crate and Barrel, but I am not positive about that. Thanks for asking.

**Q: To decorate or not to decorate?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I'm toying with the idea of hanging something on either side of the fireplace on the empty wall space. I plan to put a fiddle fig tree in the right hand corner but feel the space is missing something.

Frame with glass so it's see through and more clean? Decorative piece? Nothing?

Thanks for the help!

A: After reading all comments above, I thought you need some sconces for some ambient lighting. That is until I saw you had the lanterns on the other wall. I would at least put a colored band (gray) around your curtains to give them some presence. They would still be neutral enough. I would also like to suggest natural roman shades in a bamboo or grass. They remain neutral, but give some warmth, definition and style the the window. Give the windows a little more thought and the space between the fireplace and windows won't be an issue. Good luck!
