Building a house was never on our bucket list but the process went quite well thanks to the planning and assistance from their staff and project foreman. It was nice to have some design alternatives to view on line, but even better when we were able to tweak things in the design to our preferences, such as expanding the laundry room or eating area and shifting some doors. It also helped to have the showroom and designer to help get some of the finishes selected without a lot of leg work. One thing that we really appreciated was having the timeline and due date for each decision point in the construction process so that we knew what things to look into first and when we HAD to decide by. The project foreman, Dan Feste, helped tremendously in coordinating with subcontractors and making minor adjustments that we came up with during the build. The crew kept things quite clean and orderly during the construction process. Even the billing process was simplified by having bills processed through Brown-Wegher and for us simply having the progress billings from them. I know it won’t happen every time, but due to good weather and persistence to keep on track we were actually able to move in two weeks ahead of schedule!
