On occasion, the installs from the previous day run over their time allotment, resulting in schedule changes. My install team worked on Saturday ( their day off) to get back on schedule. PDP called the plumber to rescheduled them, and generously paid for your entire plumbing services ($251). The actual square footage from your drawings was short by 4 sf. Out of respect, I did not bring that up, nor did I add anything to your invoice ($200). The two seams were required due to your U-shaped kitchen. The kitchen shape exceeded the height and length of your slabs. Two complete, exotic slabs were utilized ensuring the most beautiful layout possible. Any phone calls that came in after hours or on the weekends go directly to the office voicemail. PDP values and respects each and every customer and strives to exceed all expectations. A: These beautiful countertops are made from First-quality, Carrara Marble. When looking at full slabs of marble, each bundle will be unique in their shading and vein concentration. This particular bundle has a nice soft veining. The edge treatment is the ever classic, 3CM Ogee. However Carrara is delicate for a kitchen application, this couple were willing to be careful :) Rachel Barone / Owner PDP **Q: What stone is this?** *(in Photo Questions)* What is the white stone? A: Thank you for the question, This is classic Carrara marble, 3CM material. The edge is 3CM Ogee. Rachel Barone / PDP **Q: What color is this granite?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: Hi there, This granite is called Alaska White. It is a really clean version, lacking any of the more sizable black veining. This project is from 3 years ago, and more commonly the slabs are being delivered with large mirror-like sections and the longer black striations. **Q: Need for basement bathroom** *(in Photo Questions)* Where do you get this sink? A: That is a travertine sink. The color and pattern will vary somewhat. Here in the Atlanta area, they are available at Floor & Decor. They are most likely available online at the retailer. **Q: Do I paint these cabinets??** *(in Design Dilemma)* What needs to be changed about this kitchen? We just finished doing a little remodeling in the this kitchen by adding all of the crown molding and all of the trim detail plus a new island counter top and new island lights. Worried about this kitchen now looking too country and too dark. Should I paint the cabinets white?? Island white or some other color or should I leave everything as is??? Not sure what kind of fabric valances to hang over kitchen window either. Any ideas greatly appreciated!! A: Really, all this kitchen needs is color! Keep the lamps, and change up the shades to a pattern worthy of the richness of the room (no neutrals). Repeat this pattern somewhere on the barstool / pads / skirts. I would make these a little 'Fussy". Next, take a key color and introduce it in the bookshelves with large bowls, platters, etc. Take another color and group some small, varying size vases together (3) and place on the island. Next to the stove, place an oversize vase again. Go pick up a few items, in crazy colors you would never select. Bring them home and see which color is the winner. Remember, no guts, no glory in decorating! **Q: What to put with Calcutta Gold suprem** *(in Design Dilemma)* Any ideas of what compliments Calcutta Gold Supreme for the master bath? I need ideas for floor, backsplash, etc. A: Currently working on a similar project and I have chosen to incorporate Dark Emperador deco pieces in the shower, and around the vanities.
