How do I make this room cozy? Thanks for the help! A: You have a couple options. The first is to keep it simple and have the rods mounted above the window but just below the angled portion of the ceiling. However, if you prefer to hang them higher up the wall and have a stationary panel, you can use drapery pegs to hang the drapes like the photo attached. This photo shows drapery pegs that can be mounted at your desired angle. **Q: Blinds in a bow window** *(in Windows)* We just had a new bow window installed and inneed window treatments up ASAP. This window has zero clearance to allow an inside mount blind to be hung in any of the panels, so it would have to be a ceiling mount type blind. I have two chihuahuas who inneed to block their view of the street because all they do is bark at every single thing. I would like to get some top up bottom down cellular shades, but am unsure how to measure for them and hang them. I want to avoid drilling into any part of the window at all costs. would adding a piece of wood trim on the inside of the bow at the top and bottom and attaching with some sort of glue be a reasonable option? Do you have any ideas? A: You actually have a few good solutions without needing to add any additional wood trim. We come across this problem on a regular basis and it really depends on your preference for window coverings. Yes, you can simply mount the Top Down / Bottom Up Honeycomb blinds directly to the ceiling. These products have a small headrail and can butt up to each other very closely without leaving large gaps between the window coverings. Photo attached. Alternatively, you can also use shutters in a bay window and have the top and bottom portions operate separately. That way you can leave the top portion of the shutter open while closing the bottom half for the pets. The divider rail can be positioned lower in the shutter if desired. **Q: Zebra ottoman** *(in Photo Questions)* I live in the US. The size is 46" round. **Q: Windows** *(in Design Dilemma)* Do these windows look naked to you? We weren't planning on adding anything else but every time I look at them they seem naked. Also need a new floor lamp if you have any ideas. A: There are many types of blinds or shades that you could put in the window to give the room privacy in the evening. You could use Silhouette or Pirouette Shades if you would like the shades down in the daytime as well and you can still view through them. Cellular shades are another nice option and you can add the top down bottom up feature for added privacy in the daytime which will also allow you to have a view if you drop the top down. **Q: Blinds and Shutters** *(in Design Dilemma)* I have about 30 plus windows that need window treatment. Thinking about shutters in the front if the home and wood blinds throughout the remaking of the home. I also need to be very economical with the quantity of windows that I have to treat. I would like to have the top windows in the family room to be motorized. Just having the ability to open and close the blinds will be fine. There's no need to have to to raise up and down. Thoughts and suggestions? A: Our business sells and installs many shutters and blinds. Shutters are the best to cover arched windows. We do these shapes all the time. Just make sure to hire someone that has worked with shutters and knows how to template them. You can get wood and faux wood blinds that have a shutter shape to the slat to coordinate with the shutters. We prefer real wood blinds over faux wood blinds as faux wood is extremely heavy. We are a storefront dealer that sells mainly Hunter Douglas but we also sell Graber products and I have not seen real wood blinds in white that have yellowed. I have had them in my own home for 20 years and mine are still white in a south west window. I have attached a photo of Poly Satin shutters we have done in an eyebrow shaped window.
