I hired Valorie Hart to help me and I am so glad I did! She was so much fun to work with and she has given me a beautiful home that I would never have been able to get on my own. She was wonderful about working with my budget and incorporated many of my existing pieces. It is amazing what she can do with what you already have! She is the real deal and I have utmost faith in her. While TV shows wow you with there CAD drawings and computer renderings of what your final product will be, Valorie allows your design inspiration to grow organically. She works with you and your space to acheive the most unique designs. She does not believe in cookie cutter but she is very knowledgeable about what is "it" in design. She is trust worthy and concious of your budget. She really believes in high / low. If its hideous and cheap and she says buy it... BUY IT. She can turn it into something that looks like you paid 10 grand for it. If you you need to pay $1000 for it just know she would not push it if it weren't worth it. We get her to do everything now. We are working on the decor for our babies 1st Bday party. There is no design dream she can't make come true. She managed/ designed our entire house from the man cave to the nursery. She also handled our masterbed/ bath suite renovation. We love her!!!!!!!!!!!!! **★★★★★ — Lisa Witteman, Jan. 2014** > After moving to Baton Rouge and struggling with decorating a new-to-me home, I contacted Valorie for a fixed price consultation. It would have been fabulous to turn it all over to her, but that wasn't in my budget, and I appreciated the fixed price option. She spent several hours with me in my home, rearranged my furniture and accessories, and helped me with a design direction. We kept a lot of what I had in the dining room and tweaked it a bit. She recommended mostly started over in the living room. After the meeting, she followed up with written recommendations. We continued to correspond through email as I had questions. I arranged a second consultation later after the first phase was mostly completed. We hung artwork, rearranged a bit and talked about how to proceed in other rooms. I really appreciated and valued Valorie's help. She helped me find some focus (I like too many things!), pointed me toward trusted resources, and generally provided great advice. Valorie is very approachable, and practical. I hired Valorie Hart for a consultation and within a couple of hours, she had "shopped my home" and suggested placements of furniture from other rooms that would create the Chinoiserie feel i was looking for. She reviewed my Pinterest boards with me to understand my preferences and has done continual follow through as we progressed towards completion. I love that she asked great questions to determine what I wanted and not what she thinks I should have. She is an absolute jewel to work with and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a designer who will bring a fresh eye to your entire home or if you just need a little help with a challenging area. I also love her new book "House Proud", which I bought for myself prior to hiring her, as it provides great insight into Valorie's view of interior design and "takeaways" from the homes featured in her beautiful book. ## Selected projects -
