From the first home visit/interview he had enthusiasm, ideas, professionalism and initiative that were lacking in the other contractors I interviewed.  The proposal he delivered was both more thoughtful and more attractively presented.

> Dave does great work.  We had him add an entryway to our home and we were so impressed we later had him do the work when we decided to add an entire addition.  Another time we had him replace a window in our kitchen with a greenhouse window.  I guess you could say that large or small, Dave can handle them all.   Besides doing work which is always complimented by our guests, Dave also will answer all of your calls and questions and keep you informed about the work being done.  He is very accommodating and easy to work with.  He pays great attention to detail so whatever he does is done correctly and it looks great.  All of this and at reasonable prices, too. > Baltimore HouseWrights has done several projects for me, each more beautiful than the last. First, they remodeled my kitchen and made a stunning pass-through bar/counter/cabinet with glass doors and shelves and interior lighting to showcase my china collection above a wormy curly maple counter. They installed crown molding in my living/dining room that made my home seem much more stately and impactful upon entering. Finally, they did a full gut of my 1928 bathroom, installed new pipes, fixtures, floor and wall tile, as well as an installation from scratch of a powder room/laundry room on the first floor, both with floor heat. All systems still working flawlessly after 5 years. Working in a house this old calls for all kinds of special skills and ingenuity which Baltimore Housewrights definitely has. No problem is too hard for them to solve. The work was done without flaw, totally beautiful, and exceeded my expectations. Prices were very reasonable and all work was done on time and within budget. My home was never dirtied, and all furniture, walls and carpets were well protected during the work. I think it would be hard to find a better contractor!

## Community Q&A

**Q: Do you know what the drying area next to the sink is made of?** *(in Photo Questions)*

This kitchen is lovely-I'd really like wood counters but am concerned about setting just-washed wet dishes on them and so am very curious to find out what is next to the sink that the coffee mug is resting on. Thank you!!

A: The wood countertops have a waterproof finish on them. Placing a towel under dishes that are drying is fine. The finish is oil varnish food safe finish. The client have a cutting board under the coffee cups in the photo. It just happen to be there. THe countertop is made out of white oak and its face has an edge grain orientation. That just means, when you look at the grain of the wood it's very straight and a little more durable to a plain sawn grain.
