For the first time, we loved our contractor at the END of the project. > > The details. We have a Victorian Shingle-style home built in 1895 and purchased by us in 1997. The house had a terrific amount of structural damage and no updates since the 60's. Over the last 10 years Landmark Services has done two major projects with us. The first, in 2003, was complete reconstruction of all exterior porches (including a porte cochere); construction of a new foundation for the barn; and insulation, reshingling and trim repair and painting of the entire exterior of the house and barn. The second project was a very involved renovation of 2,000 square feet on the third floor (lots of built ins) and a complete renovation of the kitchen. We lived in the house with very young children during both projects, so technically correct control of materials and air quality was essential. > > All of the work was of the highest quality possible. The finish carpentry on both projects was very complex and was/is particularly remarkable for the added touches that were not even in the design plan.
