I like that you thought outside the box and moved the table over in order to fit a buffet. Good job! **Q: Before & After Fireplace Wall!** *(in Before & After)* Our home has a fireplace wall that is oak from ceiling to floor. The blonde builder grade stain was outdated and needed a new treatment to be enjoyed to its fullest! I stripped the wall to prepare it for stain and wiped it with mineral spirits. Home Depot has a gray stain from Varathane that would bring a modern feel to the wall, but keep the character of the oak. After 2 coats of gray stain, it was ready for the white crafting wax that I added to it that would bring the texture out of the wall. The great thing about applying the wax was it went into the grain of the oak and once it was wiped with a cloth, it accented the grain bringing out more character than it had before!
