> We hired Richard to do a partial basement completion to include a bathroom, bedroom, and livingroom/bar area. The estimate we received was very fair. The first challenge was the existing duct work for the A/C, and an existing plumbing issue. We wanted to keep the ceilings as high as possible, so the ceiling was done with trays and can lights, and it came out beautifully. We installed 12mm laminate flooring, and it turned out beautiful. Richard and his crew were very patient with the whole process of having items when they needed them. Most everything we purchased was from Home Depot or Lowe's and we didn't realize that many things were turning into special orders. This, on our part, made the process longer. Everything is so professionally done, and everyone involved was very detailed in completing the work. Richard and his crew were very pleasant to work with, and very accommodating on everything! We now have another space that we love, and are very proud of. Thanks Source One!

My basement was unique because I practically wanted to remove every interior wall to completely open it up into one big room. Other contractors told me this could not be done, however when Richard looked at it he had a completely different take. With a combination of LVL beams and a few posts he put together a plan to make it happen and all the while staying within my budget. Now that the basement is complete we just love it and I highly recommend all the folks over at Source One Construction for any renovation project you may have!

> Had 1000 sq ft basement finished into a one bedroom apt with kitchen, bath, livingroom, office and furnace room. The price was fair given our limited budget, and the work took a few extra weeks. I do not like subcontractors and I new this might be a problem. HVAC guy was great but was not called in to confirm all systems worked at end of job, so I ended up with a large furnace bill from construction debris clogging filter. The plumbers took three tries to fix leaks from brand new installation. the framers were used as painters and they were not great about details. I asked repeatedly about the unlevel concrete floor and how they planned to level it. I kept being told they would level it before installing laminate floor. No leveling done and the floor is a bit like a roller coaster. The look is really nice though. Construction is never easy. Having strangers in your home can be challenging. Expecting workers to respect your property seems like a given, but not all workers are created equal. Most of Source One folks were ok, but we did have trouble getting them to keep the gate closed - so my dogs got out twice.
