Both times I was very happy & satisfied with the results, once using premium tiger (red) maple, and the second time using premium all-sapwood hard (sugar) maple. HFP specializes in northern hardwoods from forests they manage and in conjunction with forest owners. Mary Hull and Belinda Culp were very responsive to all my many questions and their follow-up was superb, even throughout this trying time of COVID-19. My flooring contractor was impressed with the trueness of the HFP tongue & groove milling process which produces very straight planks even in the widest widths and longest lengths. With the stress relief cuts on the bottom of planks, I’ve had no problems with cupping even after seven years (and I turn the heat off in my cottage when I close up for the winter!)
