Homestyle was recommended by a neighbour of ours who is a partner in a home construction company. They referred smaller Reno jobs (under 500k) to Homestyle. To our surprise the owner of Homestyle turned out to be the same gentleman who did a small number of Reno projects for us in the early 1990s, shortly after we purchased our home. Cal had done excellent work, and we were extremely satisfied. However there was a change in the name of his company and we lost touch. > > Cal and his crew renovated our house in the summer of 2014. It was a major renovation with a focus on addressing and up grading heating, exterior, and the interior. A major aspect of the work was addressing previous renovations on the house by previous owners and to some extent unqualified jack of all trade contracters. Six months later we moved into a beautifully upgraded home. Cal and his right hand man, Scott, made the disruptive nature of the process and the myriad decisions so much easier to manage. His crew's work is first rate, and they were unfailingly polite and friendly. The financial process was straight forward and easy to manage. Importantly We trusted Cal and the quality of the work and materials, which contrasted with our experience with previous contractors and their workmanship. > > Since moving back Homestyle has been very responsive in coming to our aid to assist with small jobs- removing and installing a major appliance in the kitchen, as well as minor fixes and repairs. They were extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable through all of it. Helped in the planning stages, were efficient, courteous and skilled during the renovation itself. After completion there were a hundred little details that needed attending to and they had no problem coming back out and fixing or replacing small details- like a drawer pull- promptly and without complaint. We would, and in fact, are planning to use them again in the spring. When they say they will do something or that the budget is set- it will be done and the budget doesn't inflate mysteriously. Is it natural or cultured? And also the manufacturer and color? Thanks A: This is cultured stone from one of our suppliers in Edmonton Alberta.
