As an award-winning architectural design firm, Ed Rahme AIA, LEED-AP is committed to architecture as an extension of the environment; real materials, sustainable strategies and spaces relating to the movement of the sun, wind and stars.
Our passion is to tell our client's stories through architectural design. We excel at listening and asking key questions to identify and prioritize our client's most important dreams and desires for their new home.
One of our primary beliefs is that, to make meaningful, exciting and beautiful spaces, we need to use real materials – wood, stone, iron and glass. We then take these real materials and make beautifully modern buildings; buildings that recognize the substance of the past and explore the possibilities of the future.
For example, we love the subtle wear pattern on an old marble stair… And the patina on an old wood hand rail… The story of people.
We look for ways for timeless principals to be made new, exciting and modern.

**★★★★★ — Ed Leo, April 2018**

> My wife and I hired Ed Rahme to design a modern home that reflected our tastes and was comfortable for us. Right off the bat, Ed spent time getting to know our family, what each of us was looking for in a home. This felt much more personal than I expected, but the result was a design that captured not only what we wanted in a home but who we are as a family and as individuals. Our friends, family and neighbors see a beautiful modern home but we see the little touches that were added that make this house our home. It's Ed's dedication to detail that makes this possible.
> Working with Ed was a great experience, he was with us from design all the way through the build to ensure the work was done to his perfectionist standards. He managed the stress of the project well, keeping us in the loop on the timeline and any changes or issues we needed to address as well as discussing the different ideas behind any designs he incorporated into each piece of the house.
> I would highly recommend Ed Rahme for any project you may have. Let him get to know you and you end up with a truly custom design.

**★★★★★ — COPE Construction and Renovation, July 2016**

> My company, Kelton Construction Division, was hired for a design/build project for a young couple who wanted to turn $250,000 and a gifted plot of land into their first dream home. We hired Ed Rahme to handle the design side for us, and to assist with the feasibility study for several reasons. There was some ambiguity as to the status and the size of the lot being gifted to the couple and I knew that Ed had experience in this area. More important to me, is the level of detail Ed provides in his architectural drawings. The specifics he includes is helpful to me both in the bidding process, and to hold our subcontractors accountable to the details. No-one's going to say, "but it wasn't on the plans" and that saves me a LOT of time, money, and aggravation. Ed's level of detail and the process by which he thinks through every phase of construction is incredibly valuable to me and to my firm. Ed skillfully navigated the various governing authorities in the process of conducting the feasibility study. His communication with the client, and record keeping on those communications was second to none. Ed receives my highest recommendation possible. I'm looking forward to future projects with him. Yes, I would absolutely hire him again!

**★★★★★ — yazid\_zoubir, Feb. 2016**

> Ed Rahme was our architect for the big renovation project we did in our home. We worked with him since March 2015 and he has been part of the planning and execution stages of our project.
> He is a great architect that provided my wife and I with excellent service and great value. He not only knows his job perfectly but he also listens to his clients very carefully and provides them with solutions that match their vision and budget. With Ed we always got what we delineated to him. He constantly goes far beyond what is expected and does this with a smile and a natural good mood that is amazing.
> What we also appreciated about Ed is that he always presented you with facts and data, even if there were not what you expected. He gives you all the information you need to have to make the best decision possible and will always give you his best professional opinion. My wife and I have over the months enjoyed working with him and gotten to respect him more and more for all that he brings.
> In addition, what is really special about Ed is that he really cares. On numerous occasions where issues came up, we felt that he was reacting to the situation as if it were his own home and wanted to ensure everything was resolved with as little inconvenience to us as possible. He was always accessible, even in the evenings and weekends if we had an emergency.
> Last but not least, Ed puts a personal touch to his professional activities. He gets to know his clients and really cares about them. My wife and I would highly recommend him to any person looking for a highly talented, responsive, kind architect!!!!

> I have known Ed Rahme personally and professionally for over 30 years. It is rare to find an architect that combines the programmatic requirements of the client into a poetic choreography that includes context, concept and function. He epitomizes what the practice of Architecture is all about. The inspiration and aspiration to create something more.

**★★★★★ — Jack Scott Architects, PLLC, Aug. 2015**

> I have worked with Mr. Rahme on several projects over many years and highly recommend him as a design professional, architect and collaborator. He brings skill and enthusiasm to every project. His focus is not just on satisfying the clients' immediate needs but bringing more to its success.

> I've known Ed Rahme professionally for a very long time. His passion and unfettered creativity have always been an inspiration. He is an architect of integrity with a keen appreciation for all things beautiful in life. His built work speaks volumes but to know Ed and the heart and soul he puts into his work, is to understand the meaning of a dedicated seasoned professional.

**★★★★★ — KE&CO., Nov. 2014**

> Ed Rahme is one of those Architects who just gets it...he gets that it takes a team of professionals truly dedicated to the client and the project to make their vision a reality. His passion for what he does is evident in everything as if the project was his own personal creation. He always makes the client number one without imposing his own agenda and he truly is always looking out for their best interest from beginning to end. I would definitely want him in my court!

**★★★★★ — jahansheikholeslami, Oct. 2014**

> Ed Rahme collaborated on designing and architectural services for our house. He was on time, on budget, and an excellent researcher. He analyzed the building codes and township regulations, and worked closely with structural engineers and contractors to deliver the product. He is a creative and talented architect, who listened to us and helped us realize the house we wanted. We highly recommend him!

**★★★★★ — wilran, Sept. 2013**

> Ed Rahme is a conceptual designer.
>
> I have collaborated with Mr. Rahme off and on for over twenty years on various projects from residential to commercial.
>
> He has the ability to take an idea or concept and integrate a client's programmatic requirements in a way that is both functional and poetic.
>
> If you are an individual or company looking to start a project that wants to transcend the baser aspects of building and aspires to be architecture Ed Rahme is the architect you want.

**★★★★★ — acaesar, Sept. 2013**

> I contracted Ed for a redesign of the house I purchased at the beginning of 2013. The original property was a narrow 130+ year old 3.5 story house with 5 bedrooms and 1.5 bath with just under 2,000 square feet. Due to the layout and condition of the house, everything down the the studs were to be removed. I approached Ed requesting for a 3 bed 2.5 bath with some preliminary ideas on layouts.
>
> I leaned on Ed's experience to guide me through the project as this was my first house and complete renovation. I could not be more satisfied at the level of professionalism that Ed provided. He assisted with on site support with on the fly sketches and hands on work, produced drawings in a timely fashion, and even helped with communication with the township throughout the permitting and construction process. He also made sure to be an active member throughout the entire project as there were many variables that kept showing up during demolition and initial build. He was a perfect buffer to make sure that my ideas were being conveyed to the contractor, as I am very handy myself, I found it hard to get my message across in a way that my contractor could understand.
>
> His attention to detail took the house to a whole new level. I have had numerous comments from people that have walked the house throughout construction and they cannot believe the transformation. They are amazed at the little details that make the design stand out. It went from a first house, to a property that I can see myself living in for many years to come.
>
> I would recommend Ed to anyone who is looking for a residential to commercial project as his ideas are incredible. I am still painting and decorating but will make sure to post pictures of the final product.

  - Description: The owners used to camp on the property. Their camp was a tarp suspended from four trees. Underneath the tarp they would make a fire pit - to stay warm. The design for their vacation house is four tree trunks used as posts. The posts extend above the roof to support a tarp. This puts their camp on the roof of their house - up in the trees. I have suggested that we build a fire pit on the roof - under the tarp to recall the days when they camped. For some strange reason they are skeptical about s…
