> We've used Bart and his team for several jobs including floor demo and laying new 12x24 slate. The quality of their work and the materials they use are excellent. Everyone who works for him has been with him for some time and they are all well trained. Aside from being a great guy and having a wonderful team, they follow through! Bart has always shown up when he says he will, finishes on time, and is excellent about communication. We're about to start a remodel and we are requesting that our contractor use Bart for all tile work.

> We were very pleased with the high standard of work and the attention to detail by Bart and his team. This included new shower fittings and tiling, a beautiful vanity top and fittings in our bathroom, and new grouting in our kitchen. They worked quietly, cleaned up at the end of each day, and were friendly and polite throughout the project.

> Bart Corey is a very creative professional and a gentleman. He did exterior stone work, kitchen granite countertop repair, and exterior slate sealing for our Craftsman home in Seal Beach. His pricing was fair, his crew always showed up on time, and the project came in under the originally estimated cost. The work was done quickly and quietly. Bart and his crew cleaned up and left no mess. If you are looking for creativity, reliability, and honesty, provided by skilled artisans, we recommend The Corey Company.

> Mr. Corey did a bathroom remodel, demolished existing shower and rebuilt with tile, and installed new flooring. If you want a perfect job with talented courteous people, this is the company to hire. The job was completed within the estimate, within the estimated time and they left our home spotless. Best contractor we have ever hired. Thank you!

> The Corey Company installed about 1,200 sq' of travertine during our remodeling project, tiled the walls and shower in our guest bathroom, created a super-custom backsplash in our kitchen, designed and placed the granite for our island and countertops, and installed a gorgeous glass tile fireplace work-of-art. We gave artistic license to Bart Corey and he gave us his experience and passion to create a beautiful living space at a fair price.

> Corey Tile recently renovated our master bathroom with a new shower, flooring, and vanity. Bart did the entire job within the designated time frame, arrived on time every morning, and cleaned up at the end of every day. The
> work was excellent and the finished product exceeded our expectations.

> I probably broke the first rule for hiring a construction professional, but with a very busy schedule and long commute I was unable to personally meet Mr Corey before agreeing to have him remodel a shower in my guest house. He was professional and patient with me over the phone and the entire negotiation process did not feel pressured. He assured me that the job was not too small to get his full attention and quality control. I plan to add another shower in my home and hope to call upon the good folks at the Corey Company!! Perhaps this time I will actually met him!

**★★★★★ — mbonning, Aug. 2013**

> Awesome! Very happy with the work performed. 600 square feet of floor tile installed and new shower, tub, plumbing and tile walls with niche. The price was competitive with two other bidders and the billing and progress payments were done very well. Bart Corey is knowledgeable, professional and helped us with design decisions with patience. He also understood the inconvenience that having contractors in the house can be and went out of his way to minimize the impact on our daily lives. One thing that really stood out, is that at the end of each day, the whole job was cleaned up so well that you couldn't even tell they had been there, except for the progress - Great Crew! Thanks Bart and Susan!

**★★★★★ — lbordessa, Aug. 2013**

> I would highly recommend Bart's services. He is professional, has an excellent eye for detail, and is very reliable. We recently remodeled our kitchen and Bart helped us with the selection and design of the floor, countertops, and backsplash. We had a large area of countertops, and Bart was able to have the granite fabricated perfectly so that it appeared seamless. He recommended a design pattern for the backsplash that we really like. Overall we had an excellent experience working with Bart and his staff.

> Very talented people work for this contractor. They do BEAUTIFUL work; are clean, showed up on time; never missed a day until the job was complete. Would definitely use this company again. Workers were skilled, courteous and reliable. Love the results!

## Community Q&A

**Q: Oval Dining Table Buying from Websites** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I am considering this dining table from One King's Lane but am nervous in to buy something sight unseen from a website. My dining room is transitional with a mid-century vibe to it. The tones are white on white molding with a light blue (pebble beach benjamin moore) ceiling. Here's the table:

And pairing it with maybe these chairs or something like this:

Also, the other table I was considering was the Allerton table and chairs from Horchow - but I worry about quality and not being able to see it before buying it. Any thoughts, opinions? Thanks!

A: Hi Chris, I make custom tables out of granite, travertine, porcelain tile that look like wood, and glass mosaic tiles. We can install different types of bases wood, metal, wrought iron, and stone. The nice thing about the tile no discoloration, no water spots, cannot dent it, easy to clean. We can make any size or color. You can see a few of our tables on my houzz page. Corey Designs

**Q: Farm table** *(in Design Dilemma)*

What decor would you use with? Would you use in a dining room that is part of a great room.

A: If this does not work there is many different colors of wood tiles. All of my tables are custom so it can be any size.

**Q: Living room console table** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hi guys! I want to replace the current side console I have on the left with a new one (and then eventually add wall decor etc) but can't seem to find anything I love and I can't figure out what style I should be looking for. I don't want anything too rustic....any ideas?? Would love any suggestions or help. thank you!!!

A: Hi there, how do you like this table that I handmake?

**Q: Dining room coffee table? Help!!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

This room looks very incomplete, can you make coffee table, pillow and paint suggestions. My taste is not simple. Also, where I can purchase these missing items?

A: Corey Designs can make you a custom coffee table any size, or color. We use granite, marble, travertine, glass mosaic, and tile in any design you choose. Never duplicated. We have one in stock.

**Q: Need guidance on grout color** *(in Design Dilemma)*

First picture is shower floor tile (Argento Mixed Brushed Brick Travertine Mosaic) with current contenders for grout - Navajo Brown, Harvest or Buscuit (in order from left to right as pictures). Looking for comments/guidance.
Second/third pictures include tile shard is from Tessuto Linen Nutmeg White Body Ceramic 12 x 24 tile that will be used on floor/walls for master bath where shower floor tile will be used. Looking for comment/guidance on grout color as well as grout size (I am leaning towards 1/8") Grout selection shown is sahara beige. Thanks to all!

A: I always try to match up with the Main color of the tile or stone so you don't get a checker board affect. This way it tends to make everything blend.

**Q: what is the cost of the bathtub** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: This is a very beautiful bathroom nicely done.
