> This is our 3rd project with Midwest. They remodeled our dining room, living room, and family room. We had used Mike Summey as our project manager on the first two and requested him again for this one. Mike always gives attention to detail and did the same here. We had asked that they complete it while we were traveling and Mike got it done. We have worked with him so often he is part of our family!
> Midwest always follows up to ensure the customer's satisfaction.

**★★★★★ — Eric Stewart, Jan. 2023**

> Midwest built a garage attached to our house. This is the second project they have done for us and both were high quality. Mike Summey was project manager for both and I highly recommend him. He was very professional and just a great guy to work with. If you want a quality job from design to finish, that was our experience with Mike and everyone at Midwest.

**Comment from Beth Carey:**

> Thank you so much! We really enjoyed working on your kitchen and then your garage and hope you enjoy both for many years to come! I'll make sure to relay your message to Mike!

**★★★★★ — goofygut, June 2022**

> Midwest is everything you’ve ever wanted in your project/s to be done!! After speaking to far too many “contractors” over the past two years, I was advised to contact Midwest. I’ve not regretted one minute with this group from the moment I met them!!
>
> Think of everything you’ve ever wanted,I.e. professional, attentive to detail, fair, honest, absolutely perfect, meticulous work and done without wasting any time!! THIS company is the one you want and will want for all future projects. There’s no doubt I will be reaching out to them for each and every project I have in the future!!!
>
> Thank you, Midwest for changing my home and world for the best!!! Hopefully, we’ll see each other again soon!!!!!

**★★★★★ — HU-977327820, Nov. 2020**

> Midwest is an awesome company to work with. This was my second project with them full remodel of our kitchen and it came out better than we dreamed. All communication was very clear with them and I knew exactly what I was getting done each day. Pat was super nice and answered any questions we had. We are excited for thanksgiving in our new kitchen this year. I would recommend them to anyone and will be using them on my garage remodel in the spring. Thank you Midwest!

**Comment from Beth Carey:**

> Thank you Dustin! We loved working on your project and can't wait to start the garage next year too!!

**★★★★★ — HU-241350456, Nov. 2020**

> The team at Midwest Remodeling was professional at all levels and so easy to work with. We had them tear out and rebuild the shower in our master bath as it had started leaking and crumbling after 20 years of use. They were able to re-use the shower door to reduce our costs and were precise in their demolition so that the floor of the bathroom did not need to be redone. We love the new tile, and the color and style compliment the rest of the room that was not in need of updating. Karen was great in planning the design to make our whole bathroom seem fresh and up to date. The work crews were careful and mindful of not tracking through and leaving a mess. When we had questions they were quickly answered. Work was done in a timely manner. I would definitely hire this company again.

**Comment from Beth Carey:**

> Thanks for the great review Eran! We really enjoyed your project and are so happy you love it! We all still want to come out and see those llamas of yours!

**★★★★★ — Kate Burkett, Nov. 2020**

> After over a year of meeting with contractors that would never call back, or come to our house and completely fall off the face of the earth, we met our perfect match in the women of Midwest Remodeling. From the first phone call until the last "after picture" was snapped our experience with them was positive, prompt and professional. They were so on top of every request and question that we had. They had a schedule and an organized calendar so we always knew what to expect from them.
>
> Our project which included blowing the roof off of our house at the beginning of May 2020 and adding bedrooms, bathroom and laundry was quite extensive. However, the Midwest team roll through all of the curveballs that the COVID pandemic through us. Not only were they great to work with but also they completed the project A MONTH EARLY and ON budget. We are complimented all the time on how well the "new addition" blends in and matches the 100-year-old craftsman bungalow that we live in. Such high-quality work. I cannot sing the praises of this company enough.

**Comment from Beth Carey:**

> Kate!!! Thank you so SO much for the great review! We miss working with your beautiful family!! Your project was so fun and unique and we so enjoyed it!

**★★★★★ — Ruth Moll, May 2020**

> Where do I start when singing the praises of this company? Midwest was a breath of fresh air after trying to find the right company to do a major addition to our home. We started with Karen who diligently listened to our needs, wants, and wishes. After that first meeting, I told my husband we had found our people! Karen worked with Marcy to put together a 3-D rendering of the house that worked structurally while also meeting our aesthetic needs. Karen also led us through the contracting process from start to finish. Beth and Brad were the dream team who were with us through the construction process. Beth is top-notch at details and making sure the customer is happy. Brad was really polite, made sure things got done in a timely and respectful manner, and maintained a can-do attitude through our winter second story addition project. Everyone in the company is efficient, strong communicators, fun, and cares about putting in an honest day's work. I would highly recommend Midwest for your next construction project. We will be using them again for any future work we need or want.

**★★★★ — HU-702361028, Nov. 2018**

> We had a tough situation. Due to poor workmanship and moisture problems we were losing an add on room done by the previous owners. We contacted Midwest and they gave a quote, checked out the situation and started on the job promptly after we gave the acceptance. The job was completed in record time and now we have a nice "great-room" for years to come.

**Comment from Beth Carey:**

> We loved helping you with your multi-use great room. Also, now you know your home will be good for years to come. Enjoy!

**★★★★★ — Ron Lee, Dec. 2017**

> Pat and his helper Dustin? where on time everyday. clean up at end day and final day was very through. Any problems that happen during remodel its was stopped and Jody and I where involved with decision on what and how to fix it( very pleased with this process) . All in all Jody and very pleased on how it all turned out. Will recommend your services to our friends.
> Thank you Jody and Ron Lee

**Comment from Beth Carey:**

> Thank you so much. We really enjoyed working with you. (Devon is the name you were looking for, lol.) Again, thank you and we look forward to any new project that you may decide to do in the future.

**★★★★★ — Lisa Mitchel, Dec. 2017**

> Great family to work with! They made our vision a reality! Just love all the changes we made and truly enjoy being in our kitchen now!

**Comment from Beth Carey:**

> Lisa, It is always so fun to work with you both! I can't wait to start our next project in your laundry room. Thank you so much for your great review.

**★★★★★ — Brooke Schaefer, Nov. 2017**

> I can not even express to you how much I loved my experience with this company. They provide a full service program. We bought an old farm and the house was close to needing to be torn down. They brought their skill and creativity to turn our house into a show piece, while keeping our strict budget in mind the entire time. The plans utilized ever last bit of space while giving us a house that will be ideal for us for the rest of our lives. I was high anxiety about the entire project, having never done this before, and they were so quick to respond to all my questions. We altered our plan over 30 times from day one till the end, and because they had done the plan within their own company it was quick and easy to make adjustments.

**Comment from Beth Carey:**

> Oh Brooke, you are so gracious and we so loved completing your project. It was a true adventure in 'Old home' remodeling. And the chickens were always fun...finding eggs laid in the tubs and showers was super fun, lol! Thanks for letting us be a part of your project. We wish you a home full of Joy. Karen and Marcy.

**★★★★★ — Darrell Logan, Aug. 2017**

> I had a complete Master bathroom remodel. The entire bathroom was gutted and they started from the studs and subfloor. The crew was on time and kept me informed everyday (sometimes two - three times) of every stage of the construction. Great group of guys who very nice, polite and professional. The completed project was even better than I imagine.
> I definitely would hire them again for a remodel.

**Comment from Beth Carey:**

> Thanks so much, we really enjoyed working with you on your bathroom remodel...and you did the hard part with doing your own demo! Please call us when you're ready for your next project.

## Community Q&A

**Q: can you share the name of the luxury vinyl tile?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Name of brand of floor and name of floor?

A: This is a Luxury Vinyl Plank, not a vinyl tile.

**Q: Repetitive** *(in Photo Questions)*

Why do I see this picture on nearly every page when searching living room designs. It's very annoying and wasting my time with repetition!

A: Sorry, I don’t have any control over that. We have not posted a ton of living room designs for our company, so maybe that is why?

**Q: Beautiful Tan tiles in she shower, What color is the Grout? Thank you** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Tek Smoke light 915 is the color

**Q: Help remodeling bathroom** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Here is my master bath. Looking to remodel. Hoping to keep the corner tub and the vanity since they are in optimal conditions. Was thinking of making the wall behind the tub an accent wall and have some tile work done somehow as well as the larger wall in the shower. Maybe vertical glass strips/trims? I envision something nice, clean, with a touch of elegance, timeless but with pop. I want it to have a calming/spa look and feel.
Also, what to do with the dead space between the shower and tub? I will extend the shower but can only go so far because of the window. Any ideas or suggestions?

A: I would keep the window. Tile the entire back wall behind the tub and the shower all the way around that window to the ceiling. Extend the shower all the way to the bathtub and put a stationary glass panel up on the shower head end. Then leave space to just walk into the shower without any door or additional wall of any sort between the tub and shower space. It will make the bathroom feel more open and allow for a bigger shower. let the space work together. I would also install a hand held shower down by the tub with its own water supply and controls so you can sit and shower as well.
On a side note I would get rid of that tub in an instant given the opportunity.

**Q: AND NOW FOR THE LUCKY GUEST!** *(in Before & After)*

I really like how this turned out but what about. Piece of art on either side of the armoire? Any polish here? Piece over bed too heavy

A: I really love this bed, I love your color pallet and I love the lamps... I hate the mirror. I am sorry I know you probably love the mirror but there is so much about it that just doesn't work. It takes up too little space compared to the bed its very black and appears so.... out of place on the wall. I would love to see something a little softer like this
or mirrors on either side like this.

**Q: Awkward Upstairs Porch Conundrum: Help!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Ok we have a design conundrum. We've got an upstairs north-facing porch that we don't know how to utilize. It is awkwardly located directly off of a full bath and is currently unscreened with a tiled floor. It overlooks the backyard and is approximately 168 sq ft (14'x12'). Unfortunately it's barely been used since its always dirty with leaves and has no furniture on it. This porch is directly above another porch we are about to close in and make an interior room off the kitchen. For the upstairs porch, we'd like to close it in too (with at least a screen to keep debris out) and redo the roof. The question is: what would you do with this currently unused space? We get stumped each time because it is located awkwardly off of a bathroom... thanks in advance for your creative ideas for this space! PS here are some photos...

A: Assuming this is an area that doesn't get too much cold weather I think this is really a great opportunity! I would bring the outside and inside together. Now this requires as much of a bathroom remodel as it does a porch remodel but... it could be fun! Check out these really neat inside out and outside in bathrooms with a porch or balcony!
LOVE it! Ok, so you need a massive budget for these. But you didn't say you had a set budget so I dream BIG!
