Upon completion of a bachelors degree program at the University of Massachusetts in Landscape Architecture Mike founded Landscape Evolution, a small company offering custom landscape design and construction. Mike continues to provide quality design services by meeting with every customer and personally carrying out all design work. He also ensures the quality of construction by working alongside our construction crew at each site. There has always been a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction, creative design and quality construction.

Our services range from design to completion. Design services include master planning, computer imaging, and garden design. Construction includes most anything that may be found on a landscape plan. These services include stonewall building, walkway or patio construction, pond installation, garden construction or simply lawn installation.

Our design style can be characterized as "naturalistic” with smooth flowing lines, natural stone products and plant materials chosen to reflect nature. We like to help our clients develop their landscape to fit their needs and lifestyle, often creating new opportunities to enjoy your outdoors. Our landscapes have a strong relationship with the architectural style of the buildings near them and the tastes of their owners; therefore every design is unique.

They were very flexible, met all their deadlines (or informed me why they could not, mostly related to weather), and did great work with a minimum of upheaval. We had some drainage issues on the site as well which they were very careful to address. The patio and stairs they installed look beautiful. They even set a stone in the garden for me which was outside of the scope of the job. Definitely would use them again

Their careful design has given us circles that are continually colorful and interesting throughout the growing season, and gave us excellent variety of color, texture and height. > We hired Mike to re-design our back hill, which slopes down to a lake.  It was completely overgrown and had been neglected for decades.  He completely reconfigured it, with lovely Goshen stone stairs, two retaining walls to hold the hill up, a large flat area halfway down the hill for chairs, and all new plantings.  The work is of the highest quality, was done on time and on budget.  He used native plants (and re-used one shrub that could be saved).  His attention to detail was excellent, and he was always aware of our budget constraints.  What I appreciate as well was that he really understood what we were trying to achieve, although we couldn't always articulate our inner vision.

> Landscape Evolution has provided landscape services for me for the past 8 years. They were involved with a major renovation and remodeling of my home that included extensive site work.  They provided design and build services that included: stone driveway, block retaining walls, permeable paver walkways and patio, grill area design, walkways with staircases to address elevation issues, fences, and installation of trees, bushes, flowering plants and a variety of plantings.  They were prompt, professional and completed their work on time. I have hired them over the years for adding new plantings, fencing, wall repairs, stone replacement, and annual Spring cleanings that include mulching, edging, thatching, and general cleanup. They have always been thorough, neat, and professional. I would recommend them without reservation.
