I talked to a man named John who was very direct and helpful on the sales floor. He answered my questions and assisted me in selecting good product that I would want installed in my kitchen and dining room of the house. I set up a date for the installers to come measure for the flooring install. This is where everything turned for the worse.. > > I met a man named Danny who pulled up to my house and initially was nice. However, after he inspected the areas to which would be worked he became extremely dismissive and took a very negative tone the rest of the visit. Danny proceeded to give a speech about how Wolde does not do molding or quarter round work, does not finish or do closets, does not move furniture, or pull up specific materials. This was a 100% change from what John had described and completely made me question even getting a quote from Wolde in the first place. All they do is lay material in the rooms and then walk away. Almost every inquiry was met with barely contained contempt for him even continuing to be in my house which brings me up to the point that completely turned me off to Wolde. > > After reviewing the areas to be worked he noted "oh everything in here has Asbestos and would have to be remediated or sealed before we do any work". I was taken back by this and he immediately started trying to pawn off his friends business to me which costs 500+ dollars to just do an inspection and testing. I nor my father (who was with me at the time) can put into words how pushy Danny was, insistent that I have Asbestos, he would take no action until I talk to his friend at his testing business in Madison. I recorded his number in my phone but immediately deleted it afterwards. I have since had the whole of my house tested for half the price with a company out of Nashville and no Asbestos was found. > > A week passed since my measure and no word from Wolde on a quote of price for the work. I have found another company whom I have contracted out with to do the work I need done in the kitchen and dining room for what I suspect will be much cheaper and the contractor is far nicer than Danny was during his visit. Given how Danny disrespected me, tried to get me to spend money on his friends business, the lack of communication on quote or measurements, and how unmotivated John was at returning a quote to me I can safely say I would never recommend Wolde Flooring to anyone or anything. Save your money and go find a local contractor to do your work, with better customer service, at a lower costs, and with a faster turn around time. **Comment from Wolde Flooring:** > Mr Wade, you should have called or stopped by our office to discuss this. We did email your quote to you, but it might have gone to your Spam. > > Although we offer free on site estimates, we are no way obligated to give a proposal for every project, or take on all potential contracts - whether they are with individual home owners or prime contractors. We do offer a lot of services, but we are not a licensed general (prime) contractor.
