He created a vibrant and beautifully designed space that was clearly meant for a child without sacrificing style. He took a small, dark space and filled it with color. I really wanted a fun, colorful space and I hate stereotypical girly pinks and pastels. He went the opposite directions: turquoise walls, yellow dresser, and bright white ceiling and just the right pop of black and white pattern in the carpet. He created baby friendly art vignettes that went on the wall over the crib and changing table. We had all this new baby furniture and no idea how to make it a cohesive whole. Everything Courtney transformed--closet, window, light fixture--suddenly added rather than detracted from the space. He took what we had and made something we could never had created for ourselves. He added, edited, painted and arranged until we had a whole new space. Even now after moving out the furniture she's outgrown, the room still looks fantastic because it was created to be flexible with her changing needs.
