A: Hello, The product above is a on the wall model..No cut out is required.... It is only attached with the 4 pilot hole inside the cabinet screwed to the wall directly with the 4x3" screws provided.. You cannot recess this cabinet because there are trims at the top and bottom which would prevent it, and also there would be no trim to cover the rough edges of the drywall.
