Nik and Sam built their business together from the ground up. Best friends and teammates since their freshman year at Capital High School, Nik Palladino and Sam Bennett-Cumming met at football practice, where Sam enjoyed repeatedly smashing Nik into the ground during plank drills (they will be happy to tell you the story). They now focus their attention and competitive energy on striving to best serve their customers, employees, and the community. Together they hope to build a different kind of home services company with Phinney Ridge Painting.

But by the end of the summer blisters appeared on both dark trim and light body color mostly on east sides of house and garage.  After a few back and forth discussions PRP's response was

> Our 1910 farmhouse style house had been in need of a paint job since we moved into it in 1997. Parts of it were so bad we were thinking of residing it. When Sam, the manager came to take a look, he said, “you don’t need to reside, the cedar siding is still good, it’s just the paint failing.” He made me feel comfortable that we could do a quality restoration & maintain the historic character of our home, so we hired Phinney Ridge to do the job! The whole project went incredibly smoothly & everyone was so nice to deal with. They had endless patience for my constant asking, “can u sand this better, can you fill in the nail holes on these boards, etc, etc.” (I can be a pain in the butt, because I have a definite vision for the house & everyone listened to my daily requests & happily completed all of them). The carpentry crew, led by Iggy, did very precise repair work, and the painting crew led by Luis E. Was equally meticulous. The finished product turned out way better then I could have imagined & we are thrilled with the job, from start to finish!!!! We HIGHLY recommend them

Managing multiple sub-contractors well is one of their strengths. Everyone on the team was great to work with. In a very busy summer, our turn for paint came up in October, and they dodged cold showers to get us done. A crew just came out (in May 2021) to do any touch-ups, and I was impressed with the thoroughness of their inspection, and the little details they attended to. Every time I look at our house in it's fresh new colors, I get a lift.
