> We hired A New Day Construction and were extremely disappointed with our experience. Communication was poor and inconsistent between the owner, project manager, designer, and our family. We repeatedly received conflicting information, were sent incorrect materials, and found the designer to be inexperienced.

> The company would not provide an itemized breakdown of costs or work performed, making it difficult to verify pricing and scope. Before signing any agreement, insist on a detailed design and an accurate detailed list of material costs included in the scope of work.

> As the project progressed, our confidence in the company's ability to communicate effectively and deliver the project we expected continued to decline. Ultimately, trust had been broken, and we paid a settlement to exit the contract. While the owner considered the amount fair, we did not. However, we felt it was preferable to ending up with a project that failed to meet our expectations.

> Although the contract encourages customers to raise concerns, our experience was that concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. We saw the company take little accountability for communication failures or project issues.
>
> Our recommendation is simple: proceed with caution. Get complete clarity on pricing, materials, design details, and scope of work before signing anything. Do not rely on verbal assurances.  The project agreement seems very detailed but ensure everything you expect is clearly and transparently stated.

> Hired New day construction for a recent job, after being 8 weeks behind on the start date they then gave a rendering that wasn't what was originally promised. Once I spoke to the PM he couldn't guarantee me it would look as originally promised. I didn't feel comfortable in their ability to complete the scope of work we were needed. Owner then sends demanding emails, and text messages. Then states he will be suing me for the total amount of the contract if I don't pay him 25% for cancelling contract.

The only change that impacted progression was a structural modification you requested during the job walk—specifically, reducing the number of front support posts and tying the roof structure into existing brick columns. This is a material structural change that requires engineering to ensure proper load support and code compliance. We communicated that a viable engineering solution had been identified and that we were prepared to proceed once verified.

> Your claim that we “could not guarantee the job” is false. We do not proceed with structural modifications without proper engineering. That is a standard of care and a requirement for responsible construction—not an inability to perform.
>
> Your statement that we are pursuing the “total amount” of the contract is also false. We are enforcing the 25% cancellation provision clearly outlined in the agreement you signed, following your decision to terminate the project after execution.
>
> For clarity, our company builds to code regardless of whether a permit is being pursued. Structural modifications of this nature require engineering. Choosing to proceed with another contractor under different standards does not change what was required to perform the work properly.
