**★★★★★ — Sour Worm, July 2020**

> The kitchen remodel was our first ever remodel project. We didn't know where to start. When we met Rosie the first time, we knew she would be a great choice because of her experience in this field; she is very knowledgeable and responsible. She came up with 5 different designs for us to choose from, and explained to us the pro and cons of each one. She was extremely patient with us when we were agonizing over the details and all the material choices. She works with some great companies in the area. We used her recommended general contractor, her preferred cabinetry designer and light fixture studio. She oversaw the project from the beginning to end making sure it is completed as designed. Recently I have recommended her to my brother for the main floor remodel of his house.

**★★★★★ — Red Pepper Design & Cabinetry, Aug. 2016**

> I am a kitchen designer and have worked with many architects in person or via their plans. Rosie Fivian is one of the very best. She collaborates well, is responsive to her client's desires and is open to my suggestions since cabinetry and kitchens is my speciality. Her work speaks for itself. I highly recommend using Rosie to design your project. She is a real pro and very talented!

**★★★★★ — d1aneyou, June 2015**

> Our mid-century home needed a new kitchen, but we found no help from kitchen designers. Rosie looked at our 1965 house, listened to us, and then gave us ideas that saved the day. Thanks to her, our window is much larger and matches the other trapezoids on the front elevation. The lighting was tricky due to our flat roof with T&G ceiling. Rosie showed us how cable lights could brighten the kitchen and leave the beams alone. She made the lines clean, removed an unnecessary door, gave us ideas for details (don't forget outlets on the island). Overall design and details were great, rate was very reasonable, professionalism great, her guidance was the spark that made our project a success.

> After meeting Rosie just once, I chose her to design our home in Boulder. Rosie is the architect for our home on North Cedarbrook Road in Boulder. She not only designed the home, she helped me find a general contractor and navigate the entire building process. I also decided to rely on Rosie for the interior design of the home. It made sense because the design of the home is the vision that I explained and that she enhanced and interpreted. For anyone else to do the interior would have been a different interpretation of our vision.

**★★★★★ — camarch, Feb. 2013**

> in 2011, I purchased a midcentury modern home, built in 1955. The home had been neglected for many years. Some low grade bathroom and kitchen remodeling was present. I asked Rosie to assist me with an exterior redesign to allow the home to make a dramatic MCM statement. She provided that punch and more. A garage was added to replace the existing carport. The interior was gutted, new plumbing, electrical, redesigned bathrooms, new kitchen, backyard decking, and more completed the fresh new appearance. Rosie's helpful suggestions throughout the project made all the difference in the success of the beautiful home that resulted.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Can you please tell me about the lighting bar in the ceiling?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Who makes it, where can I get it, and is it low voltage? Looks beautiful!

A: Thanks! It’s LED so it uses very little energy. There are several manufacturers for this nowadays but I believe this one was PureEdgeLighting. Their website should have info on where to buy.

**Q: What type of material are the counters? Could you tell me the color?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Engineered quartz, I cannot recall the color name but I believe the fabricator was Moros in Boulder

**Q: Who makes these cabinets?** *(in Photo Questions)*

We have bought a cottage in the newlands area and I am wondering who made these cabinets? Are they by a custom woodworking firm? Or did you use a kitchen cabinet firm?

A: Yes, see above, the Artisan Shop per our (the architect's) design and layout

**Q: what is measurement of vanity and which one did you use, IKEA?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The cabinet measures 46" wide and is a custom cabinet by Red Pepper Kitchen & Bath in Boulder, Colorado

**Q: ceiling vent** *(in Photo Questions)*

I love the ceiling vent above the cook top. Can you share the brand? And does it work?

A: Yes! Its a Zephyr Lux, and it works great. There is a choice on size of blowers, and we chose one of the highest volume blowers somewhere around 1000-1200 cfm. It has adjustable speed settings from high to low.

**Q: Love it!** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the darker greige at right? Very warm.. And I really like the siding- do you know what it’s called? Thank you:)

A: Fairview taupe is the color of the garage. Which siding? The horizontal siding above the garage door is cement board, the vertical is the original wood siding.
