> I just wanted to drop you a note on how professional your install crew was. The entire crew was incredible. During the stone layout the installer suggested making the corner one price even though though they knew the stone would be hard to move into place. Doing this would add extra work to locate the little 4" part to one side and make the seam almost invisible. While doing the joints they took the extra time to try and make the joints perfect even though it's not a million dollar house. It's a little farmhouse kitchen that is not perfect and they could have done less but they chose to make their work as best as possible. They were amazing in their detail work and ever gave some advice on doing the backsplash. The level of craftsmanship they showed was impressive, I'm very glad to have chosen your company
> Thank you

> We recently ordered soapstone countertops for our cabin's kitchen and bathroom from Tera at Homchick Stoneworks. In order to save some money, we decided to make the templates for the counters and do the installation ourselves. Tera was knowledgable about the soapstone material and provided good service and followup during the fabrication process. The fabricator who took care of our order, John, called a couple of times to make sure he interpreted the templates and their markings correctly. When I picked up the countertops with my car trailer, the Homchick staff loaded and secured the countertops on the trailer, lending us A-frames, clamps and straps, such that we could drive the 100 miles to our destination. Installing the countertops went very well, except soapstone is VERY heavy, and every piece and detail was perfectly fabricated and fit perfectly, without any need for modifications. The counters look beautiful in our rustic cabin environment and we couldn't be happier.

> I would highly recommend Michael Homchick Stoneworks. Their customer service is excellent. They were extremely patient as I looked at different slabs and they made sure I was happy with my final selection. When I cam back to look at my slab it was already pulled and displayed for me. Even after the stone was installed their customer service continued to be excellent!

## Community Q&A

**Q: what size is the front beam going across?** *(in Photo Questions)*

We want to build one similar this one and we have 36 feet so what size is the front beam.

A: We actually only did the stonework on this project, so we're not even sure about the sizing of the pergola. Sorry about that :-/

**Q: what kind of wood is this made of?** *(in Photo Questions)*

also love the stain, what kind/color of stain did you use? thanks a lot!

A: We
did all of the stone on this project. So unfortunately we don't have any details
on the wood. Sorry about that :-/

**Q: How much does something like this cost?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi Kellyleishear,
We're quite embarresed that we just noticed this message. The price would depend on the material, size and details you chose. If it was this exact piece, it would be about $3,800.

**Q: How do I purchase from California?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi Sandra,
I'm so sorry, we just noticed this message. I'm sure we're far too late for your question. But we'll let you know anyway :-) You would just have to send drawings of the dimensions you'd like, your stone preference and we could fabricate to your specifications, crate it and send it down your way :-)

**Q: What stone is on fireplace surround? Beautiful!** *(in Photo Questions)*

What stone is on fireplace ? Beautiful!

A: Hi jlhernandez,
This is a limestone called Permian Sea coral. It has many fossils throughout :-)

**Q: What is the material in the backsplash and island counter????** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Looks like Black Moon Soapstone to me. You can have your fabricator gauge the thickness down to 3/8-3/4" for the backsplash.
