We have ones on the front which we love but none in the back....wasn't sure if people had them in the back as well. A: As an architecture firm specializing in contemporary classical architecture, we often take style into consideration when designing a home. Shutters should play a functional role, but can definitely add greatly to the aesthetic value of the structure as well. For example, our Country Residence project features shutters in both the front and rear of the home to create a residence that is reminiscent of classical French-style houses. **Q: WOW.** *(in Photo Questions)* I love this house. A: Hi Amy, Yes, this is indeed a one-level residence. Inspired by French-style architecture, we incorporated a high mansard roof to create a scale that reflected this aesthetic. One historical precedent that stands out as a source of inspiration for this project is l'Aile des Ecuries by Jacques-Francois Blondel.
