We felt like David was the right person for our job early on; he was easy to work with, communicate with, and he gained our trust readily. David was very thorough with questions about the space and the scope of the project and was quick to help set expectations. > David ended up completely remodeling our master bathroom. We knew we had a leak in our shower made apparent by visible water in the crawl space. Based on the condition and material of the previous bathroom we opted to gut the entire space for a completely new look. The layout remained the same with all new materials. David was very hands on throughout the process, personally doing a majority of the work himself and was always on hand to oversee the work of his subs. David easily identified the issue with the leaking shower and worked tirelessly to guarantee we would not have another issue with it. > David had a great crew of skilled professionals to help put together our vision for the bathroom on budget and on time. We are SO happy with our new bathroom. David was cleanly, timely, honest, professional, and detail-oriented. The job called for a complete demolition of my existing bathroom and moving the wall between the bathroom and my bedroom. Not only is the quality top-notch, but the job was completed weeks ahead of schedule. David was onsite every day throughout the project. He has great subcontractors. Everyone showed up on time every time. David did a significant amount of the work himself. His attention to detail is outstanding. HE HAND-BUILT A DOOR TO MATCH MY BEDROOM DOORS. David also provided substantial assistance in helping me design the bathroom layout, which presented special challenges because of the exterior logs. And he was very patient with me: this was my first remodel project, and I found all the decision-making to be very challenging. David dealt with my frequent changes of mind with good grace and advice. And as to the final result: I could not love my bathroom more! David also did a smaller job at the same time involving the removal of a wall in my living area. He was very careful to assess the structural implications of this and came up with great solutions to every issue we encountered. In a significant effort to save me money, he used flooring out of my bedroom to patch the flooring in my living area. Unless you knew that it had been done, you would not notice the difference. And my hardwood floors are a very special type that are not easy to match! Because David Jones Builders has done such outstanding work for me, I will be hiring David again to update my kitchen and upstairs bathroom. Because this was a custom design, it was a very complicated process. David's professional knowledge identified and resolved many structural issues successfully between the architect and subcontractors. He is very attentive to details and he expected the same standards from all subcontractors on his job. We did not have a specific deadline or budget on this project, but David made every effort to insure our money was used wisely and to the best advantage for us and left all major decisions regarding this to us. To our advantage, David is a perfectionist. > > In 2013/2014 we hired David to add a sunroom to our lake house in Waverly, TN. We chose David for this project because we were satisfied with his work on our home. Once again, David had to deal with custom design and solve all the issues involved with this type of work. He was very good at finding subcontractors to work in the area. When we decided to screen in the patio underneath the sunroom, David personally worked with the subcontractor so that he would gain experience and knowledge for this type of project. His research in this area allowed us to make the most practical and efficient choices to suit our needs and budget. The addition of the sunroom and screened patio has made the difference in our use of the property. This project was completed under cost estimate and under projected schedule even with the weather delays since it was in the middle of the winter. His professionalism, attention to detail and commitment to the job was impeccable. He made the decisions necessary to keep the project moving and if there was a problem encountered that required my decision he had multiple solutions to offer. This project also required the natural gas line be re-routed which he managed. From the ground up it entailed matching existing brick, plumbing, flooring, electrical, hvac, drywall, etc. The addition is seamless and blends right in with the original house. David shows up to the job, is in constant contact with his subs, keeps the owner informed and has a plan A, B and C in case of weather or any unforeseen delay. His subs are professional, on time and well experienced. This project was the only construction project that gave me zero issues, I had previously done 6 major renovation projects with other GC's and builders that fell flat and was stressful. David's was so well done that I had added on 3 other projects for him to do which were done perfectly. I'd highly recommend this builder (have a friend working with him currently). He gives a personal touch and gives attention to each detail.
