## Community Q&A

**Q: Kitchen Re-do help!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We are getting ready to makeover our kitchen.  I need help with the cabinets. I am thinking about doing white on the uppers and dark on the base.  Dark like the color of the hutch you see to the right in the photo.  Or, my husband thinks just all dark. We are planning on a white quartz countertop and backsplash is to be determined. New floor too, but I'm not worried about that yet.  Your thoughts?

A: I think if you want to do white maybe you should do the island in white and all the other cabinets in dark. This would break up the color and make for a very up to date Kitchen.

**Q: Subway tile for kitchen - Ann Sacks Capriccio vs Daltile Artigiano** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hi...I am planning to go with white subway tile for my kitchen backsplash. I like a more artisan textured looking tile with depth. (countertop is Caesarstone Concrete 2003) with white shaker cabinets.
Two tiles I've seen so far that I like are the Ann Sacks Capriccio field tile and Daltile Artigiano. (3x6). I noticed the Ann Sacks is slightly thicker. Does anybody have any advice or thoughts on quality or look to help me decide? Does a thicker subway tile have more textured to it when it is grouted and on the wall? Does the Ann Sacks have more variation in color because it is handmade (which i might like)?  Price isn't as much of an issue, I just want it to look really nice quality.   Thanks!

A: We just installed The Artigiano in our showroom and we are very excited to start installing this in our customers home.  Be sure to get a good tiler it will make all the difference.

**Q: Need help on backsplash** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hello,
Can you suggest the backsplash for the kitchen shown in the picture?  Countertop is made of caesarstone quartz material.  
We want backsplash which can go along with cabinets ,countertop,island and not very flashy.  
we were thinking about small white subway glass tile or  caesarstone material, but want to get opinion from you guys.

A: Dal tiles Chrystal shores(Diamond Delta CS93) 2 x 1 Brick Might be a great mix to use for your Kitchen. I think it would be a great way bring everything together. You could use the coordinating white subway tile and use this as just a boarder also. Good luck I cant wait to see what you choose.

A: I have one of these and I can use both at one time they just have a little less pressure.

A: You could always add a 4x4 natural travertine as a boarder in the middle to break up the color and lighten it up a bit.
