Pamela Dailey Design specializes in architecture-driven interiors, where the big picture and the smallest details are carefully considered; the relationship between a space’s architecture and its decoration are brought into focus as fundamental to the success of each project.

Pamela Dailey is a designer with the vision, the vocabulary, and the diplomacy to see a design proposal through with lasting effect. Each project benefits from the breadth of Pam’s range as part architect, part decorator; she holds a B.A. in Architecture from Yale University and has worked for over a decade alongside masters of the industry, and the artisans, craftsmen, and builders who transform ideas into real life solutions.

By drawing on the understanding that craft lends design its value, and by making design decisions calibrated to meet the priorities of every budget, the firm skillfully balances project costs against aesthetic and functional demands. With keen sensitivity to the economy of time as well as money, Pamela relies on her rich work experiences in high end residential, retail, and commercial design -- and the relationships she has forged over the years -- to streamline the intricacies of the process required to execute a design idea.

Pamela’s office in Beacon, New York, situates her family in the heart of the vibrant artistic community reverberating in the Hudson Valley and providing convenient access to Manhattan and beyond.

> Pam too us through our entire renovation.. not an easy job. Our restaurant is housed in a building that dates back to 1875. She was involve in not only decor but lighting and kitchen details. We could not have been more pleased!

> Pamela Dailey Design was the primary firm for complete renovation of our apartment in NYC. Pamela's incredibly creative architectural design and beautiful use of space transformed our loft into a gorgeous and comfortable one bedroom apartment. She is professional, easy to work with and pays attention to detail. We highly recommend Pamela Dailey Design.

> As an allied design professional, I had the privilege to work alongside Pamela for almost 2 years on a high-end residence. Pamela made the process quite fun and was always very professional, bringing fresh ideas to the table as well as the means to execute them. I can say that because of the collaborative sense of our process this project finished as one of the most rewarding I have ever experienced and I will personally always look back to this job with the fondest of professional memories. I would look forward to any opportunity to collaborate with Pamela.

> I have worked with Pamela on multiple projects over the past eight years. She is creative, thoughtful and professional from start to finish. Some of the projects, such as custom horsehair fabric wall upholstery, require a thorough understanding of the materials and careful planning with the fabricator to properly execute. Pamela is always up to the task, bringing out the best in those with whom she works.

> Pam was initially hired to design a fireplace wall, but she was so wonderful to work with and her ideas were so fabulous that we expanded her role to consult on our entire whole-house remodeling project. She is trained in architecture as well as interior design, so in addition to designing two fireplace walls, trim and finishing details, choosing paint and floor colors, hardware, light fixtures, etc., she also designed a beautiful staircase that is like a piece of sculpture. And she made sure it was properly built, despite some initial resistance from the contractor. She also designed some exteriors, including the front entry and a huge back porch. She took over most of the duties of a supervising architect, working closely with the contractor and foreman, devising design and construction solutions to many problems and omissions in the original drawings. She had their utmost respect. We were so impressed at how quickly she understood our tastes and showed us several intriguing solutions to each design problem. She also found us interesting and beautiful fixtures within our budget. Our only regret is that we have had to postpone furniture purchases, but we hope to involve her in this next year, as we loved her suggestions.

> Pam is clearly a professional and a joy to work with. I highly recommend Pam's service for accuracy, creative abilities, and professional follow through.

## Community Q&A

**Q: lovely! does anyone know where to buy the pendant lights** *(in Photo Questions)*

Would love to find them!

A: Hi! From Rejuvenation

**Q: What paint color was used throughout to create such a pretty glow?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Pratt and Lambert Seed Pearl

**Q: I love this desk! Where is it from? I've looked everywhere!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi! Love this desk too -- vintage Barbara Barry for Baker!

**Q: love the warmth of the white paint. Not too stark** *(in Photo Questions)*

Could you tell me the color of the paint? Thanks so much!

A: HI! The walls are painted Benjamin Moore Tapestry Beige. Slightly warmer in person than it appears in the photo. I highly recommend you do a sample in your space so you can view it in the lighting conditions you have to make sure it's what you were imagining.

**Q: subway tile** *(in Photo Questions)*

could you please share the grout you used and also the separation between the tiles for installation?
thank you for your advice

A: Hi! Laticrete Bright white, 1/8".

**Q: Vanity!** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where is this vanity with the gold bars from?!

A: Hi there! The vanity was custom made using legs from Renovators' Supply, and an undermount Duravit sink. I then had my stone fabricator fabricate the bleu de savoie countertop to position the sink offset to the side to create a more generous counter space, and they also fabricated the little apron to hide a little more of the underbelly. Thanks for the interest!
