**Q: Grommet Drapes** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Are grommet drapery trends on their way out? Pleated drapery on its way back?

A: Wasn't too sure where to post this. But having a difficult time finding a company that sells metal curtain rods (custom length and about 1 1/4" D)  with color corresponding grommets. Any ideas?

I want to hang grommet top panels over my 8 ft. slider and move them all to one side when opened. That means no center support under the rod. To avoid sagging, can someone recommend a solution? 8 feet is a long span for most ready made rods.

A: Hello, I am needing to have a couple custom rod lengths with color matching grommets and finials. Any ideas of a company that sells this? So far it looks like I need to buy the grommets from one company and the rod from anther-how will this ever match? HMMM.

**Q: Ceiling beams** *(in Design Dilemma)*

What advice do you have for lightening ceiling beams.  We have a quaint cape near the beach that has decorative ceiling beams now, but very dark brown.  Is it possible to pickle them or somehome make them a lighter, almost like drift wood.  If so, what suggestions would you have.  Thanks !
