> My family recently purchased a new home and we worked with Troy to style our new home.
> I felt completely comfortable and had complete trust in him from the moment I met him. Troy has a passion for design and is extremely talented.
> I had actually met 2 other designers before meeting Troy. I knew when I met him, he was the one.
> Troy has extraordinary attention to detail and worked tirelessly to make my home beautiful. We worked on adding paint colors, woodwork/crown molding, window treatments, furniture selection, and of course all the accessories.
> His partner David did a great job with all of our window treatment installation. He is very professional, and very easy to work with. They are both very generous with their time and effort.
> I know my home would not look anywhere as gorgeous as it does, if it was not for their help.
> Thank you so much!

> David and Troy are incrediable people. I have worked with them for over 6 months now. I meet David when Hunter Douglas sent him to my new store to put together my store displays. I was very impressed with David and asked him if he installs window treaments too. He said yes and that started my relationship with his company. I call him "Mr. Perfect" and he really deserves that name. My customers call me back after he has been to their house to say how great of job David did. I am very particular and have never been let down with anything he has done for me.
> He is now my number one installer!

**★★★★★ — Tim DeWall Painting, June 2013**

> Troy and David (td-design) were amazing as usual. The client wanted color and they got color! Every room was a different color and in some cases MULTIPLE colors! The results were overwhelmingly gorgeous!! They took what was a standard ranch style home and made it into something truly unique - a place where a homeowner can entertain guests and no doubt get that "ooooohhh..." and "ahhhhhhh" that we all love to hear. As Professional painters, we've worked with decorators here in Pinellas County for over fifteen years. Troy and David are by far the most creative! They set the bar just a little higher for others. Thumbs UP!!!

> There are many interior design services, but only one T&D. What sets them apart? They listen. They factor in how you really live in your home, what your tastes are, and most importantly - how much you are willing to spend. In the end we got great design that fit "us", rather than some "cookie-cutter" design-of-the moment out of some magazine or TV show. The drapes were fantastic! The design, quality of manufacture and the flawless install all set a room off beautifully. While they have significant expertise in walls (paint, drapes, etc.) it was also the little things, often inexpensive, that really made a space "pop" or pull together -- often by just re-mixing what we had scattered in a number of rooms. They are a joy to work with, they work so hard! We also felt part of the process (though we wanted to be involved, I'm sure if someone wanted them to handle things 100% that would be perfectly fine.) Would we use them again? An unqualified YES. Their style, sense of humor, and value for the price paid, makes working with them- PRICELESS.

**★★★★★ — Vintage Interiors, April 2013**

> David is the newest member of the Vintage Interiors family. He has proven to be an excellent installer! I love his attention to details! He is a 'must have' when it comes to installing fabric window treatments. Plus he's a super nice guy!

**★★★★★ — Curtain Pros, April 2013**

> I have been working with David at T&D for the last 5 or 6 years on literally hundreds of client projects and installations. He is simply one of the most knowledgeable and competent people I know in this industry. Whenever I have a question about a particularly challenging situation, or even if I just need a second opinion, David is the first person I call.
>
> As designers, David and his partner Troy are able to assist their clients every step of the way from fabric and furniture selection, to window treatment design, execution and final installation. Client satisfaction is their number one priority and I have seen them achieve that over and over again, as evidenced by the amount of business they do with long-term repeat clients and word of mouth referrals.
>
> I highly recommend T&D Interior Design for any project. They are truly a gem!

## Community Q&A

**Q: Popcorn Ceiling Removal Help...** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Has anyone had a good experience removing old popcorn ceilings themselves? Any tips to make the job simpler? When I purchased my house last year, I thought I could live with the popcorn but as I begin to notice imperfections here and there I really have the desire to smooth the ceilings out. I just don't want to take on a project that turns out to be harder than I thought or will take forever to complete.

A: Your welcome ! Good Luck !

**Q: Windows need help!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Not sure what to do with these two windows. I would like to get rid of the valences and maybe do something more updated. I need ideas!

A: I would love to see you add a Soft not White color, Hunter Douglas Silhouette or Pirouette one per opening, giving you a nice defused light through the sheer, with a privacy option, also allowing you to get them out of the way entirely (hiding in the head rail). If the room still needs it, add decorative Panels to give you some elevation and soften the window edges. Panels would be the finishing touch.

**Q: Need help choosing window treatments for our great room/french doors** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We just moved into our new house and we have these side by side french doors, which I love, however the sun blazes in during the day and we would like some way to filter that out a bit. I am torn between sheer curtains of some sort or some sort of shade that attaches to each door individually. I am hoping for any help (and pictures of options) that I can get.

A: I can't tell from the picture, but it looks like the door hardware may impede a shade on the door?
