Bigger, brighter, better functioning, here are some before/afters. A: You definitely did a nice job at brightening up the space! Congratulations. **Q: Kitchen Tear Down** *(in Before & After)* We bought a neglected fixer-upper last year, and since we're doing most of the work ourselves, we're not the fastest. ;) Kitchen is FINALLY reveal ready. We took the room down to the studs and sub-floor the day we closed and opened up the back wall, where the fridge is in the photo. How do you like that fuse box? Entire house was on 3 fuses. Engineer spouse used CAD to finalize design and we went with a local, custom cabinet guy. We did the tiling and counter installation ourselves. The biggest surprise was the original, 1950's-era water tank as an under-counter installation in the corner. We pulled that beast out and put in gas on-demand. We also saved the original swinging door, but relocated it since we opened up the wall it had been on and we took the window out over the sink because it was in terrible shape and a very weird size and built a frame for a simple glass pane picture window. Definitely made a couple mistakes along the way, but overall, the space works very well and I love how it looks. Thanks for looking! BEFORE: DURING: AFTER: PLAN: A: Excellent transformation! A: Wow, you sure know how to renovate! Nicely done. **Q: Fun with Smart Lights** *(in Home Decorating)* Replaced windows, soffits, fascia and siding. Couldn’t let the opportunity pass to add additional lighting and some smart lights. Just in time for July 4th. From the novice to the pro, everyone was great at providing me insight when needed!! Although we still have a bit of work remaining, I'm so happy with how it turned out. I know it's not a large space, but it turned out just how I had envisioned.
