Matt studied the science of wood and the business of building materials and received a degree in Wood Management and Technology from the University of Massachusetts. He headed west and eventually landed in Bozeman. A talented carpenter, Matt built custom homes for over ten years before establishing Riverbend Builders in 2001. Too much of home construction is about minimum requirements. We build better homes by using responsible construction techniques and concentrate on details that far exceed the standards of efficient, durable, healthy homes. We approach any new project by first evaluating the home as a system in which we group the construction process into three categories: Smart Design, Energy Efficient Systems, and Recycled Materials.
