> Never ever ever ever ever ever use this builder. You will 100% regret it immediately. My family thought we were making the best decision of our lives. Wrong. It’s been a living nightmare. They will do everything in their power to avoid you, blame you for whatever the problem is, and try their damndest to not take responsibility for any mistakes whatsoever. I assure you your home WILL fall apart and you will feel hopeless and helpless. This is my ball homes testimony.

**★ — HU-489835480, July 2025**

> Cheap builds with horrible customer service. They will blame all their mistakes on you. Happened to us during the initial walkthrough all the way up to the 1 year walk through

**★ — HU-911793305, March 2025**

> For the future Ball Homes owners….don’t go with this company!
> I’ll keep it short and to the point; cheap materials, cheap labor, cheap results!
> If you are looking for good finishing touches and detail work, this is not your home - not your construction company!
> We were a few hours prior to closing and I expressed my concerns over a few details and finishes that showed cracks, dents, and needed painting or fixed. The rep for Ball Homes got upset and said that I don’t look happy with the result so I should not buy this house! She was right, I should have walked away and bought a better built house from another company! Ball Homes is not a reliable, not a trustworthy source for people to build their long term houses. Daily, I am afraid of who knows what problem I’ll discover in the house that I’ll have to get another handyman to fix it.

> Rob Bolton is excellent. Grab him if you are building with Ball Homes. He guided us through the purchasing process to help us avoid common issues and unrealistic expectations. We ended up with exactly the house we envisioned in the beginning of the building process. Ball homes delivers exactly what they agreed to in the beginning of the agreement. I can not elaborate on some of the reviews I have read but I have to believe some are not well versed in "non" custom construction or contract stipulation. When you take possession, it is your house with two scheduled revisits for items needing addressed after taking possession. The rest is your to maintain and repair. I did not expect "custom" build quality or the accompanying prices that "custom" requires. You can't have "custom" quality and value type prices; its not sustainable. They have been building homes since 1959 which is a statement in itself in sustainability. That said, Rob has taken care of issues as they occurred and Ball homes executed their contract just as written. I wish I could do more to help others to purchase a Ball Home with Rob Bolton as their guide.

> We purchased a spec home from Ball 3 years ago. We have a faulty plug in the basement that trips every time it rains. This was supposedly fixed during our 1 year inspection. We have a water line in the basement that didn't even meet code that we had to pay to fix when we finished the basement. We have several tiles where the grout and tiles move that was also supposedly fixed at the 1 year review only to pop back up and crack within 3 months of being repaired. They throw homes up and there is no care to quality. I would never buy another Ball Home.

> Faulty construction. 20 tiles coming up from the floor in 2 rooms. They replaced 2x but floor unlevel so problem still exists. 2 major problems with HVAC, not under warranty was my problem. Do not buy their homes!!!! Terrible construction and they wont fix anything!!!

> We are in Love with our new home! From start to completion Ball Homes has been everything we could ask for. Gator and his crew fixed any discrepancy that came up, and there were very few. Building this home was a fun experience.

**Comment from Ball Homes:**

> Wow. Thank you for sharing! We are so happy that you love your new home. Enjoy it!

**★ — HU-18283429, Oct. 2018**

> Since I am limited to 20 words. I built a house 14 years ago. During the 14 years I had fewer issues with that house (a different builder) than what I have had with Ball Homes in the last six months. They build a poor QUALITY home and do not stand behind their work. They are the worst builders I have ever worked with.

**Comment from Ball Homes:**

> We're sorry to hear that you are displeased with your experience and that we have not met expectations. Customer satisfaction is very important to us, and we remain committed to addressing any issues that may arise according to the terms of the warranty. Please do feel free to reach out to customer service if we can be of assistance.

> We are very pleased with our new home and we LOVE the floorplan/layout of our house! Many people are surprised when we share how enjoyable the home building process was for us. Ball Homes really did make building a house very low stress. We had an issue with the lighting company that they use and the Ball Homes customer service addressed it right away. Huge thanks to Tracy and Gator - best of the best!!!

**Comment from Ball Homes:**

> Thank you for the feedback! We are so happy to hear that you had a great experience building your new home. Enjoy!

**★★★★★ — Pam Panjehpour, Oct. 2018**

> We love our Ball home! The whole process was so easy. We have built several homes over the years and this experience has by far been the easiest, hassle free and actually enjoyable. Kriston Wilson, our Ball Homes Specialist guided us through each step of the process. She helped us pick out our floor plan all the way through our final walk through and closing. The quality of work is amazing. Even after closing they have been right on our punch list fixing everything we had on it. I like that there is a customer service person to call if a problem should arise. We highly recommend if you are considering building/purchasing a home in the Knoxville area that you look into all that Ball homes has to offer. You won’t be disappointed! Ask for Kriston!!!

**Comment from Ball Homes:**

> Thanks for the great feedback! We are so glad to hear you are happy with your Ball Home.

**★★★★★ — HU-810327008, Oct. 2018**

> We built a new home with Ball Homes and we are very pleased! The value Ball Homes provides was unmatched, and we were able to build a home with many luxury features for a fraction of the price. When building with Ball, it is important to remember this is a semi-custom home, not a custom home. Ball Homes approved some of our requests, such as turning a tandem garage into an extra bedroom, but there were other, smaller requests that were denied. Another key to our positive experience was the extreme professionalism of our Ball Homes agent, Kriston Wilson. Kriston answered all our questions accurately, thoroughly, and quickly. She helped us set realistic expectations, and was fabulous at communicating with us throughout the process. Neighbors who used other agents were not as pleased with their building experience. I would definitely build with Ball Homes again, and I highly recommend Kriston Wilson!

**Comment from Ball Homes:**

> Wow! This is wonderful to hear! Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We hope you are enjoying your new home.

**★★★★★ — HU-204713860, Oct. 2018**

> Ball homes made our first home buying experience a breeze. We love our new home and would highly recommend working with them, especially Kriston!
