> Update to Feb 2025 review:
> Spoke with Elite Roofing regional management. The conversation was enlightening.
>
> Here are my lessons learned from the experience:
> 1\. Maintain communication with your insurance adjuster BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER engaging a roofer.
> 2\. Acquire an accurate estimate that itemizes tasks, materials, and associated costs.
> 3\. Share your approved scope of work from your insurance company only AFTER you've selected a trusted roofer.
> 4\. Get clarity on the insurance supplemental claims process from your adjuster.
> 5\. Understand how your selected roofer uses supplemental claims.
> Pay close attention to the items for which your roofer submits a supplemental claim, what is approved, and what is denied.
