> When we hired Robin Henry, we had been living in rental apartments for over 20 years and had no idea what to do in our first house! From the very beginning, Robin took to the time to understand our family, our style and our budget. Every choice she presented us with--whether paint colors, wallpaper, fabrics or furniture--was thoughtful, considered and had a "wow" factor. She nudged us with just the right amount of pressure and helped make ours a colorful, well-appointed, comfortable home. Not only do I get compliments all the time, but I still find myself smiling when I walk into a room and see a certain pattern, a particular paint color or a favorite lamp that Robin found for us. AND, our kids can live in all the rooms!! Robin Henry is a consummate professional with an amazing eye and a love for color and fun-- you will have a blast working with her!!

**Comment from Robin Henry Studio:**

> Can’t thank you enough for this kind review! It was a blast working with you and yours. I am so glad you are still enjoying everything, that means a lot. Thanks again!!

> Robin has been amazing to work with. She brought creativity, originality and a wonderful sense of fun to our project. Most importantly, Robin really listened to us and we feel the finished project reflects us and our needs as a family. We are so happy in the joyful spaces she has helped us to create in our home. She and her team are easy to work with and make the entire process enjoyable.

**Comment from Robin Henry Studio:**

> Christina, thank you so much for the kind words. I love your house and wish I could think of a reason to keep coming back as it was such fun working with you all!

> I highly recommend Robin Henry. We like Robin and her work so much that we used her for three different homes. We first used Robin for a modern 3 bedroom apartment in the West Village in New York City. We liked Robin’s design so much that we used her again for a 5 bedroom Arts and Crafts weekend home in Westchester, NY. When we moved out of NY, we asked Robin to help with a 7 bedroom, 100-year old Georgian home in Baltimore, MD. Although each home had vastly different architectural details, Robin was able to come up with designs that accentuated each home’s character while adding new elements that made each home look fresh and unique. One of Robin’s key strengths is that she really listens to her clients so that she understands what they want. Robin has consistently exceeded our expectations.

**Comment from Robin Henry Studio:**

> This is lovely, thank you, Stephen. and it has been the biggest pleasure every single time!

> Robin Henry is a gem. She brings an artist's creativity and eye to her designs but is, at the same time, incredibly down to earth. She has children, she has pets, and she thrives on the challenge of creating spaces that are both beautiful and comfortable. She is also organized and professional. She has a cadre of contractors and artisans she works with to make items for your home that are both custom and affordable. She is a master at choosing colors. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of patterns and fabrics and art. She is great at working with a budget and can find perfect items at all price points. Her support staff is on the ball. They make sure you are happy with purchases and if there is ever a problem or a mistake, work tirelessly to correct the situation. The whole studio is infused with excellence, a can-do attitude, and positivity. She has now helped me design three homes and, for each project, hiring her was the best decision I made. She has on occasion saved me from bad calls by architects and contractors. LOVE HER!

**Comment from Robin Henry Studio:**

> You are dear and kind and I would be nothing without you! Thank you so much for doing this.

**★★★★★ — Bridget Foley, Dec. 2017**

> Robin came in and took control of a difficult renovation. Our apartment had been flooded over the July 4th weekend. .Complete, top-to-bottom renovation done under duress. She took control of the situation, listened to all our ideas and synthesized them brilliantly. Love her eye, subtle touches that are married with panache and flair. Most of all she was patient with two very stressed out clients! We love her work and can't recommend her highly enough.

**Comment from Robin Henry Studio:**

> Thank you so much for doing this, and thank you of course for your kind words! I have loved working with your family, and I love your beautiful apartment!

**★★★★★ — Caroline G., Dec. 2017**

> Robin Henry is the best! I've worked with Robin since we first designed our apartment eight years ago, to more recent projects over the years as our needs have changed. She has a wonderful sense of color and fabulous style that is both unique and classic. She is a pleasure to work with: responsive, responsible, understanding, and thoughtful in her approach. I highly recommend Robin as a designer.

**Comment from Robin Henry Studio:**

> Thank you so much, Caroline! I truly appreciate this kind review. It is always a pleasure to work with you and your family!

## Community Q&A

**Q: size of all space** *(in Photo Questions)*

Love how kitchen living dining laid out ... what is size of kitchen vs rest space...trying to layout open plan cottage space into kitchen area . Thanks

A: Gosh, I would say that the kitchen is only about a quarter of the entire space. You need at least 4’ of floor between the two sides of the kitchen to be able to open the dishwasher and squeeze by; 5’ is better. And then build out from there, I think. Dining area is another quarter of space, maybe a little smaller, like 1/5th if the space, and the rest is the family room area. Sofa is 7’ long and the settee is 30” deep... Good luck!

**Q: I love the chairs!** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where are they from? thx!

A: Hi, the chairs are vintage! Thanks!

**Q: where is this rug from?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi! The rug is custom from Fedora Design. Thank you!

**Q: what a bright and cheerful space** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you share the source of the colorful prints? Thanks

A: Hi, Joanne, I wish I could help but those prints were inherited by my clients!

**Q: floor lamps** *(in Photo Questions)*

Could you please give information on purchasing the floor lamps? LOVE them! Thanks.

A: These were purchased through MSK Lighting, and they are also available I know through Arrow Lighting in Larchmont, NY.

**Q: Sheer Fabric for Windows?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where did this fabric for the window treatment come from? Not the Roman Shade, the one that stays down constantly but still lets the light in.

A: I honestly cannot remember how we designed this but if I am correct, I believe it’s designed to just hang flat to conceal a drab view. You could do it as a sort of unconstructed roman that you can raise and lower in case you ever wanted to, BUT you might see the cords hanging behind the sheer. In this case, the fabric is open enough that plenty of light comes in, and it’s so pretty it always bests the ‘view’ so we went for it. Good luck!!
