They do care about their work. **★★★ — HU-577725835, April 2022** > No problems with installation; fairly good communication; one big problem, the fireplace they installed was a Kozy Heat Oakport 18. It was installed 11 months ago and the flame has been going out occasionally for about 6 weeks now, and a couple of days ago the burner switch seized up completely so it is not usable. The fireplace I have upstairs is a kingsman and there were no problems with it for 20 years. The service guys are coming to take a look at it tomorrow. **Comment from Urban Fireplaces Ltd:** > Hi Robert, we can appreciate some fireplaces go seemingly forever with no issues, while others need regular services (kind of like cars!) which is why we recommend them annually, and yours was due for. When our technician was on site he did note the switch is stiff and why the fire would go out when warmed up. Please know your new switch has been ordered and the next trip out to replace it is set for as soon as it is due to arrive. **★ — HU-481644353, April 2022** > I purchased two Element4 fireplaces from Urban Fireplace in august 2020. These fireplaces were for a new construction house in Washington state. Given Covid, construction delays, etc, the fireplaces were installed in oct 2020 and we moved in sept 2021. There are warranty problems with both fireplaces. Dale has not actually dealt with any of the warranty issues despite repeated communication. Instead, he keeps trying to force fit the issue to be about install. We answered all his questions about install and even told him that the city inspector had the manufacturer's install instructions for the fireplaces and made sure that final inspection meet those instructions. All of this is of public record. Problems still persist and Dale has gone silent. We paid $25K for these fireplaces. Find another dealer to buy your fireplaces -- one that actually wants to make you get great service instead of trying to pass the buck. **Comment from Urban Fireplaces Ltd:** > Hello Suri, we were surprised and disappointed to see your review because in an email you wrote to our sales manager on Mar 22 you stated "You and your dealership have been the light in all this. I would buy from you again in a heartbeat. I have been very open about how wonderful your dealership has been. Andy followed thru on all our questions in short order. You continue to figure this problem out". > We hope you find it within you to please update the review to reflect how readily available and dedicated we have been to working on these issues with you. > > With the sale of these fireplaces having been as 'supply only' and us not being able to be a part of the install, we are limited to working with the parties that did the physical installation. The problem you are referring to is the smell of gas when the fireplace is turned on. As has been communicated, it is crucial to find out where the leak is coming from, which can only be done on site. We have yet to encounter a situation where the gas leak was an issue with the fireplace; it has only ever been with the install, but we are not ruling anything out.
