We found a 4 inch gash in the carpet that they attempted to hide and staple down as a suitable installation and now the gash has re-opened. I've called Tony and asked for repairs and it has been two weeks since he told me he would call me back. I'm ready to just call an actual skilled carpet installer to avoid having them make this job look any worse. They tried to help but ultimately if you care about craftsmanship then you should find someone else. They've already had to fix, repair and replace things multiple times. We bought some high-end vinyl flooring to re-floor out kitchen. Following installation, it was apparent that there was trouble with the seam. The two sides did not fit together to make a smooth transition from one side to the other. The installer from Family came back several times and was unable to get it right; not his fault. He agreed there was a problem and it had to be the vinyl itself. Jeff at Family Flooring agreed and asked for photos to send to the manufacturer to support a claim to them for replacement. The manufacturer was reluctant and did not initially support the idea of replacement. Jeff told us that we would be getting the new flooring whether or not the manufacturer owned up to their responsibility. While ultimately the manufacturer did come through, the fact that Jeff took it upon himself to do the right thing by us is an outstanding example of the character and integrity of Family Flooring. From the initial meeting through the excellent installation to Jeff’s owning the problem from the outset, Family Flooring came through just like their advertisements say. I can’t recommend them highly enough. They truly operate like a family….YOUR family. They installed carpet in 3 rooms and my stairs in a day and also offered the cheapest price out of 5 other quotes I received. I bought vinyl flooring from Peggy, but unfortunately I went with a different installer who did a horrible job. Recently I was covering a brick fireplace with tile and could not pick a tile, I called Peggy and she came over with samples that work great so I ordered my tile through her. They also recently put the premium laminate flooring in my formal living room and dining room. We are now working on a option to replace the vinyl I had put down with laminate. I refer everyone to this company. Not only is Peggy a great salesperson, she has a great eye for design and can come to your house and help you pick the best option for your home.
