All they want is your money. The owner is nice but nice does not give you a good product. They sub out everything, therefore the quality is only as good as their sub-contractors. 2 weeks after they poured my deck, cracks started to appear. Not superficial. I told them about it. Their concrete guy ground down one area that had already rose up 1 inch. They painted over the cracks and I never heard from them again. 6 months later, the cracks are all the way through and multiplying as the ground has settled. One part of the deck has risen 1 1/2 inches. > In their process, they collect their last check after the pool is covered in pebbletec, so that there is nothing you can do to hold off their last payment. The decking is still not complete during this time. > Me/You as a homeowner hire a company to do a professional job and take the necessary steps to provide you with a good product. That is not this company. > I have a $90k cracked deck that shows shady work. They are now telling me this is not under warranty. > You don't want that. I am currently working with Tristan Francis who has been a horrible coordinator. When we met on the site as they were finishing up the travertine on the back wall of the swimming pool, we asked him if the back portion would also have the travertine and he said, “Yes, it will go all around”. A couple days later I asked him if his team would be back to finish the back portion of the wall and he said, “No, the back doesn’t have travertine, there must have been a misunderstanding”. The entire team must have been subcontracted and there was no supervision through out the process which made me feel uneasy. There has been dirt and debris on the sidewalk and street for months now, and I’ve asked him if he could have his crew clean it up for some time now. There were big holes right next to the sidewalk exposed for weeks at a time and they were not covered or taped off for pedestrians. The water, gas, and electricity lines were all uneven and I had to tell him several times before the concrete decking was poured. There was electrical line that was cut and I had to bring that to his attention several times. The pool hand rail is wobbly and not secure and when I told him about it, he told me I needed to screw it in properly instead of having someone check it out. The most infuriating issue is the pool texture, I told Tristan it was too rough once it was applied. He said it would be smooth once it was acid washed. After it was acid washed it was still really rough and I informed him of this and that they were filling up the pool with water. He said it would smooth out once filled and that we would need to brush the pool twice a day for a month. The texture is still really rough like sand paper and he said there’s nothing they can do. **★ — HU-643561465, Oct. 2021** > My level of disappointment is off the charts. I had read these reviews and was looking forward to meeting with Richard on an agreed upon date and time. The day of the consultation, they called and confirmed the appointment one hour before. I left work and went home to meet with them only to be called back 25 minutes before the meeting and told that they were cancelling because they can't take measurements in the rain. Wait? What? You are an outside contractor and you called me to confirm when it was raining? I advised that I had a site survey we could use to avoid being in the rain and was told to "email it in and I'll pass it along so we can do a phone consultation". Uhm. No, sorry. When I'm spending 80k-100k on a project I want to meet the individuals involved, it creates a level of trust and comfort. Seems many have forgotten how to do business these days. Really hate that this happened and very disappointed in Beyond Blue Pools.
