> Our experience was extremely costly and frustrating. We hired them to prepare plans for our remodel, but when we submitted those plans to the county, they were immediately rejected. The reviewers identified numerous issues, including outdated building code references and extensive corrections that needed to be made before the plans could even be considered.
>
> Because we had lost confidence in the work, we hired a new engineer. After performing a 3D scan of our home, the new engineer discovered that the original plans were off by more than 3 inches. The allowable tolerance was only ¼ inch. Based on what we were told, our remodel could have been built in the wrong location. I can't imagine the financial and legal consequences if construction had actually begun using those plans.
>
> Although we never moved forward with Rustic Mountain Building for the actual construction, we still suffered significant damages. Their work left holes in our walls, and we incurred more than $30,000 in damage, including damage to tile in our bathrooms, in addition to the money we spent on plans and documents that ultimately could not be used.
>
> Instead of moving our project forward, we were left paying to undo mistakes, replace unusable plans, and hire qualified professionals to start over. The delays, additional expenses, and stress were completely avoidable.
>
> This was one of the most disappointing experiences we've had with a contractor. Based on our experience, I would not trust Rustic Mountain Building with another project, and I hope others carefully consider our experience before making the same decision.
