She has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Colorado Christian University and put her skills to use teaching high school and middle school math for 10 years. During her time teaching and moving around the country (from Nebraska, to Tennessee, to California, to North Dakota, to North Carolina and finally back to Colorado), Marla designed and decorated seven of her own homes.
