Our main concern was maintaining the architectural integrity and period look of the house. We didn't what our second story addition to look like an add on. Then with a smaller footprint, we needed to make sure every square inch of the house was thoughtfully used. > Our remodel was complicated. We converted a 1937 elementary school (Empire) into 6 fabulous apartments. There were a few hiccups - there always are. But the end product? Better than expected. Steve Mason was on it.  I went to check in on the project one day (45+ minutes from Denver) and Steve was there there walking the site...........just to make sure all was well. It was.
