A: Explore tiles that complement the countertop and preferably ones that marry the bright white cabinets to the deep tones of the gold. . .Octave Jerusalem Gold TileBar **Q: shower tile selections** *(in Design Dilemma)* Using mosaic tile for shower floor and accents (band around walls & niche), considering the tumbled stone for floor and polished version of same stone for the wall accents. It's the same stone pattern & color but one is shiny and recommended for the walls (matches back splash over vanity) and the other (unpolished, non shiny finish) is recommended for shower floor. My question: has anyone combined 2 tile finishes in this way and is it a good idea? or should we pick just one and use it on both the shower floor and wall accents? A: Mixing honed and polished tiles is common. Would painting trim lighter color help? But we have gutters same color as existing trim. Or should we have an entire exterior repainted? Any other landscaping suggestions (I am working on treating the grass) are welcome!
