If our contractor couldn't find an engineer to help with a structural plan, Lance had two numbers of excellent ones to call. Every step of the way, Lance was available, patient, and just a super nice person to work with. He helped me pick cabinets, flooring, hardware, appliances; always going through pros and cons, style differences, patiently answering question after question. Love them!** *(in Photo Questions)* Are these custom cabinets or can they be ordered? A: the counter top is a natural marble. The closest thing in a manufactured product might be Dekton... but only the gloss finishes from them are convincing to my eye. This stone has a honed finish. The Dekton honed finish is not very realistic in my opinion. I would consider natural stone... if you are worried about staining consider a marble from Antolini with their "Azerocare" treatment. Good luck! **Q: wht material is the countertop** *(in Photo Questions)* A: its a Persian onyx... i believe the color was Alabaster. We used it on the lower portion of the island and here on the bar. Its softer than other stones so you have to be careful... and maybe figure on having it professionally polished now and again. It's a eye catcher for sure, and worth the effort in my book. **Q: Very pretty! Which Plato door styles are on the island and perimeter?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: Hi, and thanks for the kind words. The door style we used is "Tahoe" with a flat panel. We used "Bayport" with a raised panel just on the island. Where are the butcher blocks from and the chandelier? Love how the butcher block adds a different color and looks built in but isn't permanent. A: Hi, And I am glad you like our design! I believe the light fixture came from Arte De Mexico. It has been several years, so I am not sure if its a current offering from them any more. The owner provided the cutting boards herself... I do know that John Boos & Co. offers something quite similar. happy hunting, and thanks again! **Q: Lighting** *(in Photo Questions)* Where are the three lights from A: hi, I did not source the lights, so I do not have the exact info. Sorry about that. **Q: How big is your range hood (width and depth?)? Model?** *(in Photo Questions)* We are installing a high BTU stove and have been told this shape hood will not work but I find it very attractive. Is it larger than the rangetop and is it 24" deep? Thanks. A: these cabinets are inset into a beveled frame. The color is a proprietary finish from the cabinet manufacturer, but I can tell you its a grey white.
