> I'm so glad I hired Interior Design Concepts to help me finish my new house. The results are beautiful. Gail Williams has a amazing eye for color and is able to visualize the finished look in each room and also how the whole house flows together. She quickly understood my tastes and the feeling I wanted in my home. Gail presented high-quality options that were respectful of my budget. She was very efficient in finding beautiful furniture and fabrics for me to choose from. Gail was easy to work with and made a potentially stressful project enjoyable. I highly recommend her for any interior design project.

> Gail has worked with us for the past 30+ years. We have always been pleased with what she has helped us with, she understands our style and makes great suggestions. We have used her for a variety of projects from remodeling our dining room and living room, adding a built-in lighted cabinet in the dining room, purchasing furniture for our home, paint and wallpaper selection, drapes, re-styling the drapes after several years to update them, and recovering furniture including antiques. Our last project was covering two antique armchairs, one for my husband and one for myself. The cushions had to be re-stuffed as the hay that was used for the original cushions was no longer comfortable. She helped us find two complimentary patterns for our diverse styles... his more traditional and mine more whimsical and modern and worked with the upholsterer. The chairs are beautiful and we enjoy sitting in them. Our guests have made many compliments about them. They also work with the rest of the room's furniture which Gail helped us with several years earlier.
>
> We will continue to use Gail as we have always been happy with her design concepts and work.

> This was my first experience with a designer and I have to say that I was extremely disappointed. I wanted to redo my living room and was going to order a custom leather furniture set from Nebraska Furniture Mart and had contacted Gail to get assistance in determining colors for the leather set, wall and carpet colors. Upon our initial meeting and describing what I was looking to do not only now but in the future, she went off and spent time finding VERY expensive furniture for rooms that I didn't even want to redo and when she showed me the furniture and I asked about cost, she didn't know the cost and when she looked it up and presented it on our next meeting, it was so outrageous, I told her that I wasn't interested in doing the other rooms, but wanted to focus on the living room first and she spent time trying to design my sons room and explained that she gets paid $95 an hour but is very conservative on charging for her design time and likes to make her money from selling you the furniture. Well now I understand, the one wall unit in my bedroom that I didn't need was over $20,000. She also said that she could get me a better price than Nebraska Furniture Mart and I could order the living room leather set from her, which I was happy to do, but after spending over a month trying to research, she told me that she couldn't sell to me due to not having enough business and therefore couldn't beat the price, so I lost almost 6 weeks time that I could've ordered from NFM and had shipped to me in 8 weeks. She didn't have me sign an agreement right away and when I received the first bill, I told her that I was very displeased with the amount that she was charging me for when she spent a great deal of time on items that I didn't request and yet wanted me to pay for it. I then had some health issues and was in the hospital and told her that everything was on hold, she then proceeded to send me an additional bill and several more drawings of rooms I didn't request and wanted me to pay for her time, which I explained that I didn't request those things and the information I really wanted didn't get accomplished. I have spent a great deal of money remodeling my home and have never had a problem dealing with a contractor until I met Gail, therefore I can't say that I would ever recommend her and she was so scattered when she would arrive at my home and I felt like I had to try and keep her on track, so I am not comfortable paying for something that I didn't receive what I wanted in the first place and wanting me to pay for something I didn't ask for....

**Comment from Interior design concepts:**

> Every client comes to us with different expectations and experiences. As a designer it is my job to offer the client more than they can imagine themselves while offering them choices that fit with their budget and desires.
> This project began well and it was communicated that there was much to do and the client needed help and direction for many different areas of the home. My efforts were spent on finding several different furnishings, fabrics, tiles and carpets to fulfill the expectations of the homeowner and to clarify the selection of color for the leather sofa and chair desired in the living room. I attempted to bid this furniture with a company that at first said they could sell to me and then realized that my company was in a state that did not allow them to sell to me. I confirmed that the home owner would be better off purchasing it from the local store.
> Some of the selections involved design concepts which the homeowner loved and could have been fabricated locally at a lower cost rather than purchasing a very expensive piece.
> A successful design will take into account the total look while providing choices that will inform those selections. It is necessary to develop a color scheme, fabric selections and finish selections before finalizing those selections for purchase or installation in an interior. If a paint color is selected early there is room for error and disappointment as the entire design goes forward.
> The work was completed and we were ready for decisions when the homeowner decided to stop the project because of health issues. I immediately stopped any further work on the project and summarized my design time for her while discounting my bill considerably to accommodate her needs and expectations.

> Gail Williams Parde is a wonderful, creative designer who gives you many choices to select from as you start a project! And one of those choices is just what you had in mind, but didn't know where to start on your own. As she talks to you about how you use a space, colors, etc., Gail does not try to CHANGE how you use your space, colors, etc. But, she is great at offering you a better furniture layout, traffic flow or color choice. She has redesigned my kitchen, selected paint and carpet for several rooms in my home, ordered sofas, helped select draperies and bedding and all in a professional manner over the last 5 years, or longer. I will continue to use her creativity in future projects!

**★★★★★ — Prestige Homes, Inc., Sept. 2015**

> Gail is an excellent interior designer! She was able to quickly figure out my style and tastes so that the finished product was "me" but way better! She is easy to work with and works hard to please the customer. I highly recommend Gail to be your interior designer.

**★★★★★ — Johnson Hardware Company, March 2015**

> We have been honored to supply and install hardware products for Gail at several of her projects. When she brings her client into the showroom, she's always prepared and she skillfully guides her client through a myriad of choices. I've noticed that she likes to help her client consider more than the appearance of the product; weighing the durability and functionality of the choices. She works the same way on the jobsite, helping her client with decisions about how and where to install products in ways that enhance the livability of the home.

**★★★★★ — Sue Thaden, Jan. 2015**

> Gail has led design of 4-5 projects for us including an entire new build lake house (remotely!). She led the whole project and it is our dream lake home thanks to Gails guidance and leadership. She is so natural to learn our style and educate us to expand. She has exceeded our expectations and we are grateful to have Gail as our designer. I strongly recommend her for any project. She is always professional, organized, knowledeable and great to work with.

> Gail Williams Parde is the interior designer who worked with our build out crew, in making 2 condo units at Midtown Crossing in Omaha into a home we love very much. It is elegantly simple, and comfortable, with colors that inspired me. Gail worked to include those colors, and expand their use in related components--cabinetry, tile, flooring, and walls.
>
> For instance, it was her idea to build up a space in the entry ceiling to highlight it. Also, she said a false lighted window in the master bath would make it seem more like a real window letting in light, when actually, there is only a hallway directly outside that design. Another way she differentiated the space was in our dining room, where a set back wall was painted a contrasting color. Gail found a rug maker who created an unusual custom striped rug, with our color scheme yarns, personally studied and chosen by Gail.
>
> All of our furniture from our past home was retained, and incorporated into our new condo space, which was a budget saver.
>
> I really appreciated her professional abilities in measuring and finding the right products for the space, and her ease in communication with me, the contractor, and all suppliers.
>
> It is now 4 years later, and we are still being complimented by visitors on how our urban space has a modern, yet very warm feeling!
