Truly, this is one of the smartest designs I have ever come across.  I previously lived in a home that had this same setup -- we entered and exited through a side door that was near kitchen cabinets.  This would have been IDEAL.  Also love the navy walls with the white.....lovely contrast that will always be a classic!

A: We purchased the table lamps at Crate and Barrel. The white lampshade does both provide a contrast to the dark colors of the room and also better light than a dark shade would have. Thanks for your question.
