### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Joe and Pat McCabe, Oct. 2016**

> It was both a professional and personal pleasure to work with Jim Martin on our recent remodeling project. His design work was fantastic, he had great resources for the various elements required, the installation was expertly done and the entire project was managed by Jim without any worries on our part. He brought us solutions not problems and was on top of each step of the process and kept us informed throughout. We would recommend his services to anyone without hesitation.

**★★★★★ — Brittony Vermeer, Sept. 2016**

> Jim was so wonderful to work with, from our first planning meeting until this morning - now several weeks past the project finishing date - when he stopped by to change a shelf size in the pantry for me when I decided it wasn't quite working for our needs. There was never a request too small or a problem too big, he took care of everything with the utmost professionalism. We had a wish list of things we wanted in our kitchen + bathroom + laundry room + pantry renovation that was quite long and he was able to make them all happen. He worked with our overall vision but wasn't afraid to tell us if he thought something was wrong for our project. He was always the tie breaker if we needed one. Jim also schedules his jobs very well - very few days of down time over our 7 week renovation. I have recommended him highly to friends and neighbors, a couple of whom have already hired him once they saw the work he did in our house.

> We could not have been happier with the process and the end product of our kitchen renovation. Jim is a pleasure to work with, began and ended the job on schedule, and was extremely responsive to all of our questions and concerns. His attention to detail was so appreciated and the work ethic of his crew was evident throughout the project. We could not recommend him more highly.

> My wife and I had a fantastic experience working with Jim and his team. Consistently available, patient, and he made things very easy for us. He has a great eye, and doesn't settle for anything less than perfect. He will learn your taste, which makes it easy to work with him. He ensures that every last detail is to your liking. We continue to recommend him to anyone that is looking for a new terrific look.

**★★★★★ — Jan Umble, Aug. 2015**

> We have been very happy with our newly remodeled kitchen and bathroom. Jim introduced us to his subcontractors before our project began. He went with us to make our selections, and stopped by often during the two months of construction. He provides quality work and caring skills.

**★★★★★ — Euikyung Lee, June 2015**

> I hired Jim for my whole kitchen renovation. Overall, I must say Jim was very nice to work with.
> I have changed my plan a couple of times, and he tried very hard to understand what I wanted, even though my English is not so good.
> He was always easy to contact, and ready to explain all my questions with good knolwledge.
> He used the best materials within my budget and all the work was completed as scheduled.
> I love the way he designed my kitchen and now I love cooking in it. Every detail worked out so perfectly.
> He is the one who made changed to my thoughts towards the contractor.
> Of course I would love to hire him again. Thank you Jim!

**★★★★★ — afontaine, March 2015**

> Jim was knowledgeable and reassuring. He was familiar with all kinds of kitchen designs. He also was good at negotiating differences between my husband and me. He knew when to offer his two cents and when to stay away from the fray!.

**★★★★★ — Anita Darpino, Nov. 2014**

> I found Jim Martin after searching for and interviewing several designers whose names I found on Houzz. Jim stood out because he was was very thoughtful, detail oriented and a good listener. The first time I met him he asked me questions about how I used the space, what I liked and disliked about my current kitchen and how I thought the space could work better. Working from a picture of a kitchen that I clipped from a magazine Jim walked me through the process of transforming the space into my dream kitchen. He not only changed the style into what I wanted but greatly improved the functionality by bringing more light into the space. He also helped us solve some problems in our breakfast and mudroom that have made them more functional as well.
>
> We hired him not only to design the kitchen but to be the general contractor as well. He showed up every day, following the progress and making changes that we wanted. The subcontractors he chose were pleasant to have in my home, did a great job and were very respectful our time. In any project in an older home there will be surprises, Jim was always calm and solved any issues immediately. The project stayed on schedule and was finished on time.
>
> Without actually making the space bigger my kitchen feels and looks much larger. I’m an avid cook and I now have the kitchen of my dreams. It functions perfectly and looks fabulous. I wouldn't change a thing! I would very highly recommend Jim Martin for any design project.

> Our family spends most of our time in our new kitchen and we could not be happier, in large part thanks to Jim Martin's attention to our needs and design style. We started our project with Jim with few details prepared - just a hope that we could create a contemporary kitchen that would provide a central location for our family to eat, work, and entertain. Jim worked patiently with us to truly understand what we wanted and what we liked. His attention to detail and his design knowledge made our experience extremely positive and we are thrilled with the results. In addition to his design skills, Jim works with only quality sub-contractors and the project finished in a timely manner, with every detail attended to. On a personal level, Jim and his co-workers are delightful people who are extremely hard-working; they take pride in their work and it shows! We cannot say enough good things about Jim Martin designs!

**★★★★★ — Fred Martin, Jan. 2014**

> We had a complete kitchen remodel done. We gave Jim a few specifics that we wanted in our new space. He came up with our plans and we had very few changes.
> Jim was always available if I had questions or concerns and he was on site numerous times. He was very easy to work with and we would highly recommend him for any home remodel project.

  - Description: To many of us the kitchen is much more than just a place to prepare meals. It’s a place to spend time with family and friends. That’s the thinking behind this traditional country kitchen remodel of a suburban home in Lancaster County. The overall style of the kitchen mimics that of an old country farmhouse. We used custom cabinetry with a beaded inset door style and white painted finish. The perimeter countertops are Silestone Pulsar quartz. The backsplash tile is 6X6 white ceramic tile installe…

  - Description: For this kitchen remodel the client had two key objectives they were reaching for. An updated look and a layout offering premier function. The challenge here was that the kitchen was a relatively small space and the center of a hub connecting a family room, rear entrance and mud room, breakfast area and rear stairways to both the basement and second floor. The homeowners completed a major renovation in the late 90’s that consisted of adding a large family room onto the house just off the kitchen…
