It was a pleasure working for you and we’re very happy to see that you’re satisfied with our work. **★★★★★ — Nick Taylor, Aug. 2023** > I have done two major remodeling projects with Sigura Construction over the past three years. The first was an update of the kitchen and bathroom in my 1940s-era concrete-block house on the SF Peninsula. Sigura's estimate was detailed and fairly priced, taking into consideration the time that would be required for permit approvals and inspections (no easy feat during COVID). During construction, Ilan and his team communicated quickly and clearly whenever something came up that required a change order (you never know what you'll find behind 80-year-old wallboard...) They brought the project in on time and on budget, and we love the results. > > The second project was even more impressive. Last year my family was living in Europe on a temporary work assignment when our tenants brought to our attention to a mildew problem in the bedrooms, specifically on the inside of the exterior walls. This is not what you want to hear when you are 6000 miles away! Luckily we had Ilan. He proposed an ambitious project to insulate the exterior walls from the inside using closed-cell foam insulation, and at the same time to replace all the flooring he had not yet refreshed in the bath-and-kitchen job. We told him we had new tenants arriving in a few months and everything needed to be done before they arrived. Ilan was excited for the challenge. His team handled all the details, starting with moving all our furniture into a storage container in the driveway. Then, with impressive professionalism, they executed the project precisely on schedule—and that included all the typical unforeseen challenges, like when they discovered a layer of ancient linoleum under the existing parquet floor, or when we had to relocate an old gas line to bring it up to code. My family is truly grateful for the care and diligence of Ilan, Chris, and the entire Sigura team on this project. We arrived home a few weeks ago to what felt like a brand-new house, thanks to Sigura Construction. I highly recommend working with them. **Comment from Sigura Construction:** > Thanks so much. It was a pleasure working for you and we’re very happy to see that you’re satisfied with our work. **★★★★★ — HU-682662394, June 2023** > We approached the Sigura team for solving a complicated plumbing issue, which can be considered a small construction project, The team delivered a highly professional service in a short time line. Communicating with the team was always a pleasure. We are very pleased with the results, and would be happy to approach Sigura again for future projects. **Comment from Sigura Construction:** > Thanks so much. It was a pleasure working for you and we’re very happy to see that you’re satisfied with our work. **★★★★★ — gideonxy, March 2023** > I worked with Ilan Sigura about 16 years ago for remodeling the house my wife and I purchased and for remodeling a rental property we own in the bay area. We were very happy with the service and the quality of work. > Since then, we left the bay area moved to Southern California. But a few months ago the tenant in our rental property left after 12 years and we decided to do extensive work to bring the property to a better condition. Naturally, I reached out to Ilan and asked him to handle the project. I entrusted him to do the work and make some decisions on our behalf since we are not local. Sigura Construction did an excellent job. They met the cost constrained we gave them, and met the timeline committed to us. The quality of the work is exceptional, the attention to details is great, the suggestions they made were very helpful. Overall, we are extremely pleased with the results. The house is now rented and the tenant is very satisfied with the condition of the house. > I definitely will continue to use them in any future projects! **Comment from Sigura Construction:** > Thanks so much. In addition, true to his word, Ilan has always responded to our requests for touch ups and is always responsive to our calls and texts. Very satisfied with their work. Highly Recommended! **★★★★★ — Jim Bathgate, Nov. 2016** > My wife and I recently had a total kitchen remodel done by Sigura. This included new cabinets, appliances, lighting, electrical code upgrade, flooring, tile, and paint. We quoted several companies and decided on Sigura because their price was competitive, they are diamond certified, and they were willing to work within the constraints we laid out. The work crew was anchored by Jose and Miguel who were very responsible, knowledgeable and caring about the quality of work provided. As needed other subs were brought in (flooring, tile, countertop) but Jose was THE GUY who kept the job on track and up to standards. They did a great job in sealing off the construction area so that dust did not intrude on the rest of the house. From construction start to finish was seven weeks and considering the amount of work involved, we were pleased with this relatively tight timeframe. **★★★★★ — awaissman, Oct. 2016** > Bathroom remodeling. > Shower, tiles, sink and cabinet installation. > Job done in time as been agreed, all done in perfect manner and > follow up post job just to conform that all at satisfaction. > Definitely will use him for my next project. **★★★★★ — Leah Koren, Sept. 2016** > Sigura Construction did landscape work in my backyard as well as a bathroom remodel, and installation of new flooring throughout my house. I cannot say enough about how amazing my backyard looks. New grass, a beautifully paved walkway, a water fountain with a serene sound, and the most colorful flowers I've ever had! My bathroom is also better than what my original plans called for, and I'm so glad that the owner, Ilan, made the suggestion he did for the wall ledge in the shower. Such a functional feature, that eliminates the need for a plastic shower caddy to hold my shampoo and conditioner. And the combination of tile and hardwood flooring to distinguish between the family room and the rest of the house was such a great idea by Doug, the production manager. And the crew that worked at my house was clean and respectful. > I am pleased as punch, and will definitely use Sigura Construction again, if ever another construction need arises! **★★★★★ — drmoshe, Feb. 2013** > Over the last several years , I engaged Sigura Construction for several projects.Ilan Sigura the owner of the company, was engaged, made sure that projects were completed on time and on budget. My experience with Sigura construction has been wonderful. The company has a philosophy which insures customer satisfaction.I will do business with Sigura again. **★★★★★ — andrewz95123, Jan. 2013** > I hired Sigura Construction to do an addition to my house and I have to say I have been very happy since the beginning, they took care of all the designing and permits require by the city. They have been very informative and helpful through the whole process. I was a little concern at the beginning since is not a cheap project, but after interviewing a few G.C's I have to admit I made the best choice by hiring Sigura, my project is about 75% complete so as soon as is 100% I will update with some pictures. **★★★★★ — deborahr77, Jan. 2013** > Sigura just finish my kitchen remodel and they did a great job.. I'm actually thinking of giving them a new job for my rental property. If anyone wants to see pictures of my remodel I would be more than happy to share. They're very professional and the craftsmanship is fantastic!! **★ — Simone Klass, Jan. 2013** > Our experience with Sigura Construction was the most stressful and painful. They did a major remodel in our house including a familyroom addition, bathroom, and kitchen update. Not only did Sigura overcharge and underdeliver, but they were late by months and workmanship was sub-par. Many things were done twice or more times due to lack of supervision. The owner refused to comply with the City of Palo Alto requirements for a gas pipe installation. This delayed the project by 38 days. When it came to cost his tactics were deceitful. He increased the cost of stucco after we had a written agreement. He left the project with numerous safety issues open like a wrongly installed tankless water heater and electric problems. The owner never admits mistakes and blames all the wrongs on his clients. We tried mediation and we followed all the appropriate steps to resolve the issue, but Sigura failed to comply. After more than a year that we started our project the City has not approved it and has a pending investigation regarding the tankless water heater. ## Selected projects - [Gloria: New Home Construction in Menlo Park](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/gloria-new-home-construction-in-menlo-park-pj-vj~7978231) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 13 - Description: A new two-story home in Menlo Park, designed and built by Sigura Construction.
